I plan on going on my first thru hike in April. I'm going to Ocala National Forest in Florida with a few buddies for 10 days. Anyone have experience with thru hiking?
I've been solo hiking camping for a few years so I have basic experience. As far as gear, what should I additionally bring? Do i bother to wash my clothes? etc
By thru hiking, do you mean hiking? Or is it more different?

I understand your usage but thru-hike almost universally will be understood to mean a complete hike of the AT, PCT, CDT or other long trail. Just say backpacking.

i mean there is a long trail in florida, called the Florida Trail. But i dont think hes gonna be hiking through that shit in 10 days. its over a thousand miles long

no mountains hills crevices, no funky geographical shit. avoid being in the water for extended periods of time (gators n shit) just bring normal gear youll be fine. it's the {eople in florida you gotta watch out for.
