>catalog, search "edc, everyday carry" nothing found
So let's start an EDC thread.

Moleskin, and dual tip Sharpe.
Keys, paracord, p38.
Zippo, surgical mask nd bandaids in wallet.
Wallet (cash, cards, hunting fishing license, library card)
Knives (CRKT Folts Minimalist, Appalachian Trail folding knife)
Skullcandy earbuds
Phone not shown in pic.
>>
>>650639
Semi-serrated tonto folder.
Leather belt.
BIC lighter.
GPS maps on phone.
Emergency Jackson ($20 bill).

I honestly don't think I would ever find myself in a situation where I couldn't make do as long as I had those five things.
>>
>>650639
This thread makes me glad I'm a NEET. I can't imagine gathering all that crap up just to go to work.
>>
My edc is wallet, phone and keys.

I occationally bring a multitool if I'm doing stuff and a flashlight cause winter is dark.

How is any of this /out/ related?

>>

I didn't even notice the Zippo, lol. Those things leak fuel so quick you'd have to be insane to rely on them. BICs will store forever, though.

This made me think of the scene in the Postman, where he finds the Zippo in the mail truck and it lights after a decade of not being refilled. Who greenlighted that? I like my postapocolyptic movies to be realistic, dammit!

How is that a tip fedora? You have any clue how gay you sound when you say that?

I travel through out the state for work, go into some ghetto places, so that is why I carry a gun. The knife is for work too, seeing as all the packages are heavily sealed, I need to open them. I work at night so the flash light is needed.

How about you post what you carry now...or are you one of those basement dwellers who has no life, never leaves his house, only shit talks what other ppl carry?
>>
>>650750

That's a dual tip sharpie. Normal tip on one side, fine writing tip on the other. Or you to retarded to see that?

Three paragraphs? You must not be able to read, cause if you did...you'd notice that he talked about the gun, knife and flash light. Not just one. Fucking retard.
>>
>>650861
Ppl always ask why ppl carry gun, flashlight and knife. That is me giving all three of my reason's, so I don't have to explain later. You'd know that if you were not such a new fag. So go away you autistic fag. So I only really offended the gun with just one sentence, not any entire paragraph.

>I travel through out the state for work, go into some ghetto places, so that is why I carry a gun.

>The knife is for work too, seeing as all the packages are heavily sealed, I need to open them.

God no, just never ceases to amaze me.

EDC..
would vary based on where/what, etc. If you are in your vehicle, you should have a mini-bugout/get home bag.
Saying phone is fucking stupid. Everyone has one and most don't put it down to look around any more...

keys? Of course, we all have vehicles and doors.

Me, always have a knife and fire starting source.
$/cc's goes without saying.

everything else is based on the activetly at hand. I literally have about 15 different EDC's depending on where I am and what's on the plate.
>>

Actually from a 100 yen shop. I did change it out for a model with a flatter grip/body. It sharpens up nicely and is very useful for the size. In fact, most of the stuff in my bag came from 100 yen shops. That includes the bandages, tissues, sail needle, gloves, mask, rescue sheet (emergency blanket), flashlight, whistle, saw blade, heavy duty foil, safety pins, the sewing kit, and the components for the match kit on the upper right.

I like waxed cotton hats in the rain, they're relatively cheap and re-waxable.

Not sure what Stetson you're looking at. The beaver felt that they traditionally used is supposed to withstand rain pretty well but I don't know what their current hats are like. I can say from experience though that cheaper no name felt hats can shrink in the rain.

thought this would be a better thread to ask in then starting a new one. ive lost my beloved leatherman. see >>654247

it is most likely gone forever. so now i am looking for a replacement

so essentially the question is, is there something in the same category that rivals the Leatherman juice cs4? something from the skeletool line perhaps? ever since i got the leatherman crater a few years ago ive fallen in love with the carbiner/ bottle opener on it as this is after the knife perhaps the tool i use the most and as far as i know it is the same on the skeletool line.
or, do i just buy a new juice?

well fuck. guess that option is out the window. curse this socialist utopia and its silly rules

so. its ether downsizing to a micra, a squirt or forgoing the pliers and buying yet another victorinox.

it honestly cant be true that there isnt a decent company out there that make multi tools with pliers and a knife that doesn't lock and the knife is maximum 7cm long. i mean really?

as far as dealers go i could turn a blind eye and go for the super tool 300 but i just dont like breaking the rules, doesnt mean i like the rules though

It can't lock? That's fucked up. If anything, that just makes it way safer for the user. All you're left with is a bunch of toy knives.

I guess if you need to go small, I would reccommend the Gerber Dime over the Micra. Just because like #1 reason I get multitools is because of the pliers. And the Micra has scissors for some reason. There is another Gerber slightly larger than the Dime as well, I forget the name.

>>662326
It is the SPEW. I like it so far. But it is only my 2nd fixed blade, with that Kershaw Antelope Hunter being the first. And I have only owned that for like 2 days.

I feel like you get a lot of knife in a small package with that CRKT. The handle and weight feels nice. Plus I really like the sheath and belt clip how they mount horizontally. It feels better when I'm driving and stays out of the way. It kinda clicks into the sheath so it holds, and I'm just hoping that part doesn't wear too much and the knife starts falling out.
>>
>>662323
Anon don't buy the ST300, I've already posted about it on /out/, I bought one and ended sending it back since it was utterly shit. Those handles can't support any fairly amount of force, they'll bend really easy. Mine also had the pliers tip not aligned. shit/10 wouldn't buy again even if for $10, China tier model.
>>
>>662338
>It can't lock? That's fucked up
ive seen several threads making fun of the UK knive laws. but in all honesty their laws are pretty loose

technically we arent even allowed fixedblade knives over 12cm .. these are classic examples of laws that it is unavoidable breaking. it says that the following knives are exempt from the law.

1. Folding Knives with blades of max 7 cm , which can not be locked in the unfolded position.
2. If the inclusion of the knife has a commendable purpose , such as a profession , hunting , fishing, sports or other similar creditable purpose .

so yea ... our laws suck rancid shit, but we make due

Also when I got the SPEW, I was looking at a couple other knives. I really wanted an Esee Izula (the green one) so I could wrap it in a crazy cord, but Bass Pro doesn't carry Esee. So there were 2 other CRKT's I liked.

The one in the left of the pic was cool, but I didn't like the black with green handle. I was thinking about wrapping the handle in a different color, but I didn't want it to look like shit. Plus I wasn't a fan of the blade shape.

The other one I saw is kinda like the one in the pic, but the handle was wrapped in black cord and the blade was a different shape. It looked almost like a knife a chef uses to chop veggies, where the cutting edge is totally flat, and the top of the blade is curved all the way to the tip and hits it close to a 90* angle. It wouldn't be any good for stabbing hobos.

They had some cheaper Smith and Wesson fixed blades with cord handles too, and I still like that Gerber Bear Grylls black fixed blade with orange cord. But they both looked like the quality wasn't there. The Bear Grylls knives look like bottom tier Gerber stuff.

Just buy the damn skeletool and say that you need to tighten screws for work sometimes. I mostly only carry my stuff when I'm fishing anyway.

I used to live in Chicago, and they had tons of fucked up gun laws. Criminals don't obey any of the gun laws anyway, so idk why they even have them.

Now I live in Florida. Even tho I'm in an urban area, the laws concerning guns and knives are loose. There are gun stores everywhere. And with knives, you can carry anything as long as it isn't concealed. When you get to big ass daggers, switch blades, and butterfly knives, they are legal to own but you can get into trouble if they are "concealed". But when I have that bright orange Kershaw on my belt, they can fuck themselves.

Also FL had some strange law saying you can carry around guns and knives concealed if you are hunting and fishing, even if you don't have a concealed carry permit.

I just think they look sweet, especially the lime green color. But at this point I'm debating the silver so it doesn't look as shitty if I actually use it.

Even with the silver, I could still wrap the handle with some cool colors of paracord. And if I did need to clean the knife or the cord gets dirty and worn out, I could just cut it off and wrap it with fresh cord.

That sucks. Idk what your judicial system is like, but I always say "If it isn't a felony, no big deal".

>>662391
The green is a little much, I agree; but I just think it would look sweet with a blue/orange paracord handle. I like the orange handle on that Kershaw because it looks like a tool a little more. While the black and forest green or desert beige tactical look makes me think of a knife more as a weapon. And I don't need to look "tacticool" while I am fishing. I like to keep it low-key.

Also the visibility is a good thing for me. I mentioned it already that I almost lost my Skeletool this morning. I have onlt had it for a week. I was using it to unhook a bass, and I went to throw the fish back and left the skeletool lying in the grass. Like 30min later, I realized I didn't have it and I had to search a little bit. A lime green and orange Izula would be easy to see. I need to paint my Skeletool safety yellow or flourescent pink.

That Esee 6 is dope btw. I was looking at those, but I don't want a huge fixed blade right now. Maybe one day I will get one to keep in the tackle box so I can decapitate snakeheads with it easier. The Ontario Rat fixed blades look real nice too.

Ka-Bar has a knife just like the Izula as well. I was looking at that a little. About the same price as the Izula, but doesn't have all the color options.

That Kershaw looks decent.

At Bass Pro today, I was looking at the Gerber Paraframe, looked like a nice knife for $20. Plus they come in a handful of colors. The Kershaw you posted is nicer tho.

What about an Ontario Rat? People seem to like those around here, and you should be able to find one around $30 online. I think the Rat 1 is a 3.5" blade.
