Just what the fuck is going on in this thread

Just get another leatherman, this time a wave or surge
You can spend $20, 100 or 200. For 20 you get cheap stuff that will break fairly easy and no warranty. For 200 you get what you would for 100 with more flash. Go with 100, as in the wave or surge
Dont go swimming with it unless you have it tethered to you somehow. When i have my surge on my kayak while fishing i latch it to my vest with one of those retractable badge/key holder thingyjiggers

You get what you pay for. When i think about it now, a knife can be a catastrophic failure if it breaks. You really have to trust the lock of folding knives. This uses a small ass torx bit to tighten the accesories, which is stupid. It also has zero adjustability for tension (hoe easily the blade comes out).

There are rumors that Leatherman is updating the Wave next year.
Supposedly it has the Rebar plier head (replaceable cutters) and the tool set is slightly different.
I like mine. It is pretty basic, but only cost $30

Pawn shops are your friend. Got pic related for $20. The knife was dull and the sawblade was bent, both quick fixes, and a great investment.
