MN here. Season ended last weekend here. This was probably the slowest duck season I've ever experienced. We did good on Redheads early, but migration didn't seem to hit full swing until most of our spots were frozen out.
Do any of you guys save feathers or tan bird hides with the feathers on?
Pic is my peacock. A farmer friend shot it because it was shitting on his tractors and eating his tomatoes... I've been putting borax on them every couple days.

Update: Just went the weekend after pic related and we walked away with 15 ducks. My brother limited out on his first ever hunt, this time tho we didnt go to the lake

Hunting in SoFlo is hard to get into, how/where do you go hunting for ducks? I'm in the lotto drawing for spring turkey season now, waiting to hopefully get a chance

I started the season this year by going to the lake, but i wasnt really impressed by it. most of the time i go to the STA's. I hunt with my dad and brothers, so we use all of our hunting licenses and try to get drawn for a permit. if we dont get drawn for a permit we might just go anyway and try our luck at the lottery.
