is there a site who ships to Portugal where i can buy one of these? my cheap shemagh only gives me rashes and is not comfy at all, want to upgrade as a Xmas gift
>>
>>638639

I had the same problem with mine. Ended up washing it with a dif detergent and hanging up to dry. No more itch or rash.

don't waste your money on shitty cheap shemagh's.

get the authentic thing from egypt or palestine
>>
>>638720
overrated, store bought shemaghs are comfy non the less. Never had an itch with mine. Only problem is that they shrink and get too dense if washed often and/or with too hot water.

Seriously, all you can say is 'mur authentic shemagh'.
>>
>>638672
>>638639
então colegas?
>>
>>638720
why would you want an authentic one ? They have political and religious connotations you know. It's also not like they are made of some rare material, just simple cotton. I get mine from Western companies so I am not confused for some muslim.
>>
what's the difference between a shemagh and a keffiyeh? which one is more /fa/ for 2016? which one is more /out/ for winter/spring? i don't know how to arab and i'm way behind on this

>>639420
Type, staple length, spun, weave all make a difference you know.
>>639425
Same thing.
They're /out/ gear for the desert and /fa/ gear for kebablovers. I can imagine parts of portugal being hot and dusty enough for it though, so OP need not be the latter.
>>
>>639420
The quality. I have had the one in that picture for over 10 years.

It's thick, extremely durable, warm on cold days and cool on hot days. It's been through mud, sand, snow, below freezing weather and washed a myriad of times.
>>
Fun fact, those things are fucking fantasic in the driving rain. I was using it as a scarf when the weather turned on me. Really shitty, in your face rain. Wrapped it around my face like a true durka and carried on hiking with a dry face.
>>
Is there any place I can buy a scarf like this but wont make me look like a terrorist/anarchist/liberal faggot?
>>
>>638720
I have a one from Pakistan.

thanks
It's just a cheapo chicom type 63 chest rig.
>>
>>639507
Yeah, i know it does make a difference. I've had mine non authentic for around 4 years, it got too dense because it got washed with 70 degree Celsius. If I didn't it would still be going Strong. If you just would take a little care it works just fine. Again I will stress 'mur authentic shemagh!', other products works fine to you know.

the authentic one is like 3 times larger than the normal ones you buy in the states, much much thicker too
>>
>>640990
>the authentic one is like 3 times larger than the normal ones you buy in the states
Except it's not. Most US shemaghs are 40-42", yours is not 10 feet wide.
>>
>>641046
sure I exaggerated, but mine is bigger.
>>
>>641052
How big is it then?

You can't say it's bigger without messurements, or roughly the size. I got your shoe for reference though. It might be thicker because of the weave. I like mine thin though.
This is around 1X1 meter^2. Cat, 40Lbag and shoe for reference. Not seethrough thin at all.
>>
>>641052
For you.
>>
Would anyone recommend these for cold weather?
>>
>>641367
Not if there's any chance it'll get wet, if you'll be dry they're okay but they're best for keeping the dust or sun off you, be it summer or snow. The ones I've felt provide some real mild insulation, to the point I'd imagine if you live somewhere these are prevalent you'd have different weights for different seasons or regions but who knows.
I do love watching retards try to peel frozen shemaghs off their face after a day on the slopes though.
Use what works for you.
>>
>>641367
Fleece or wool is better.
>>
>>641384
+1 to this. Not on the ski slopes but I wore one of these in the freezing rain once thinking it would just as good as a scarf, nope. It's fine if there is no precipitation though.
>>
>>639553
solid colors or bright colors would make you look like most liberal arts students
>>
>>638639
why is everyone hell bent on dressing like a sandnigger nowadays? a few years ago only women wore these headscarf thingies
>>
>>642162
its oper8r as fuk m80. also middle easterners wouldnt be using them if they didn't work
>>
>>642237

>>
>>642247

>pillow (ymmv)
>scarf

>>
>>638639
I got one as a gift from my friend in morocco. The quality is awesome. Soft and smooth. Not that itchy sweat sticking shit. It works 100x better than the other 2 I have.
