What say this board??
>>638178
>composite handle
this board will hate it
>Eastwing
>tacticool
What do you think op?
What's it's primary purpose? To look badass and chuck at shit? It will probably do the trick.
I have a standard eastwing hatchet and it's pretty solid, so the tomahawk probably is too?
>>638178
Better than nothing but not what I'd want to take when hiking.
>>638206
You're mistaken. Solid one piece forged blade/handle, rubber grip.
>>638178
Estwing makes good tools. I've got their double-bit hatchet, love it. Tomahawk is a little tacticool for me, but don't let my tastes stop you from getting what you like. In retrospect, perhaps I would have been better off getting their standard hatchet for the striking face opposite the edge; still a good purchase though.
>>638178
They make a roofing hatchet that's indestructible. It does everything the tomahawk does.
>>638208
> sorry can't help, mine is a Westwing
>>638178
The spike is good for digging and that's about it, the Estwing tomahawk is a demolition tool not a woods tool, get a hatchet or a better hawk
>>638178
Mall ninja meme tier at best.

Are you deploying? Do you need to produce holes in concrete to fire your weapon system out of? Are your breaking down doors? Are you engaging in close quarters combat?
If not, I don't recommend. I actually have one in my basement right now, my boss was using it to punch through drywall a few weeks ago actually. It's a solid hard use but semi-lightweight tool for sure, but it simply wouldn't be more practical while innawoods than a hatchet. I'd recommend a saw or a hatchet for that role. OR both.
For actually cutting shit, I have one and the bit is extremely short, straight, and VERY thick. Would not recommend.
If you have a bunch of extra cash and just want something to chuck at shit that is durable as hell then yeah go ahead with the composite one, but don't get the leather handled one because the stamped on metal pommel is pretty sensitive and will get loose if you hit it on anything
learned that the hard way

Can we stop? It might have been auto correct.
I'd get the leather grip larpahawk. If I wanted an all black I'd probably get a SOG.
