SUPER EUROMEET 29-31 JULY SLOVENIA
Be there or be a faggot
The americans are doing it too:
SUPERAMERIMEET at YAHOO for info
first for best bike
I'm having a bad day and it's only 10 am.
>Go book a exham to the hospital

What do yamaha mean when they say "trick cylinder" in reference to the mt-03?
I can't find anything on google.
>>14976722

>scrape shit out of front quarter panel backing out spot like a mad man
I won't tell him and if he notices I'll say idk maybe a gook did it
Wait. Are SEM and SAM happening the same weekend?
Imagine the quality in posting that will happen the following day

I look forward to it. I just wish I had more vacation time saved up; using most of it to go to Colorado in August. There will be Miats. There will be braps. There will be lamenting that my wallet is not near so fat as I'd like. There will be good food and a few old friends. AND THERE WILL BE CO-82.
>>14976729
Dunno if I should, I wanna keep my shame to myself.

Gopro helmet mount kit (aka "J-mount") +curved sticky pad straight onto the chin bit of my helmet.
I don't use a waterproof case to keep the size and weight down but I have a faux pro and not a real gopro so it getting fucked up doesn't bother me.
>>14976731
that they wanna trick you into buying a single-cylinder naked that isnt a KTM.

I want to mount mine like that but I'd have to either modify my helmet's chin area or use a strap like a chest mount around the whole thing ;_;

>>14976790
There's actually very little surface area to put the sticky pad on but they're so damn sticky this tiny triangle of flat bit on the raised bit of the chin section is enough to hold it on no worries.
I packed some double sided wall hanging tape on either side too but I don't think it does anything.
>>14976802
>$400
well damn, ill stick with my $250 Bell
>>14976807
It's all part of the elaborate troll my friend. Some people know what kind of bike it is right off the bat but I've heard it being called a WR, a KLX, and a KTM or a Husqvarna. Now with the headlight it's gonna fuck with people.
>>14976834

That mid drift is more than enough to hold a gopro attached. I have an agv gt veloce which has the same chin shame and the adhesive was sticking on that 8mm or so strip in the middle.
Couldn't pull it apart even using all my strenght.
>>14976847
Yes but this was bought new. The KTM is still a bucket of parts. I'm probably going to sell it back to the owner who has money now.

>>14976927
that valve rocker-arm breaking seems to be pretty much a standard problem with KTM and has been for years judging by countless forum posts.
if you ride single-cylinder KTM and are out of the warranty you should probably replace them every 3000Km or so.
>>14976934
lol he bought one of their pianos.
>>14976937
>>14976923
iirc the rocker arm issue was from the 2008 models and was fixed in the 2010 version, so you just update to the 2010 rockers and you're good, or vice versa
haven't looked at 690's in a long time though so I could be wrong
>>14976938

>>14976945
nah its with 2014 versions as well.
should just make the head a little larger and give it another camshaft or create rockers out of titanium dunno.

hey dbt,
I've been browsing the motorcycle section of craigslist in my area, and I saw this guy parting out 3 different bikes:
https://charlotte.craigslist.org/mcy/5528812675.html
https://charlotte.craigslist.org/mcy/5528817028.html
https://charlotte.craigslist.org/mcy/5556944378.html
I'm wondering if these are stolen bikes and if I should alert the police.
Is it at all common for someone who works on bikes to part out 3 legitimate bikes at once?
>>14977358
Because I'm pretty much broke right now and all the money I will earn in the coming months will be spent on a new apartment because fuck sharing a flat with randoms any longer.

Even counting the odometer didn't help me, budgeting 270km/tank, didn't factor in higher consumption at inefficient speeds & ran dry just past 200km.

Those are amazing bikes and will out perform plenty of shit riders while teaching you pretty much everything there is to know.
One thing to be known about the GS250 and GS300s is that they're hilariously lean out of the factory. Like the bike will backfire and refuse to go above 15mph in 5th gear. When you get it, turn the idle A/F adjustment screw out about 3-5 turns to fix the issue.

Just be ready to do a lot of maintenance before it's in mint condition

check for excessive rust .. especially in the tank
>>14977697
Check fuel lines for brittleness, Make sure it can start with a cold engine.
>>14977118
wtf were the flaggers doing.... i'd fucking sue
>>14977697
Check the condition of the rubber boots that hold the carbs on. They're expensive and tend to get old and crack easily due to all the heat cycles they run through. Replacing them isn't anything difficult, but it's a bit of a hassle if it's the first thing you have to do.
Check for the lean cold running issue mentioned in >>14977691
If it's present, you should be able to fix it without pulling the carbs off though.
Check for rust in the tank, and under the exhausts. The exhausts on those bikes are one piece header to muffler so if the muffler happened to rust out any backfiring or anything will have holes popping up.
Finally, try to get it up to ~60mph. Mine had an issue where the little tab for the ignition coil on the left cylinder would vibrate off at 55+mph. should let you know that all electrical systems are well taken care of.

>>14977750
I still need to buy a new bike lol. I probably won't.
Honda a best.
>>14977771
Mine have only done about 6k miles. They are nine years old though...
>>14977749
>sent ;)
>>14977768
my first car was a 96 chrysler sebring which I wrecked the shit out of a week into my license.
thing was constantly breaking down and sometimes I hated that bitch, but it taught me quite a lot.
also that car gave me a lot of good times. kinda miss it occasionally..
>>14977753
>4 pm

>>14977760
I have, yes.
it's only looking stretched because the stuff in my pockets pulls the pants down on to my leg, actually they are baggy as fock
>>14977776
Are the carb gods in your favour currently?
>>14977782
>9 years old
Get new ones. NOW.
>>14977791
>Are the carb gods in your favour currently?
Like never before.
They even offered me a new cursed bike, I'm thinking about it.
>>14977787
guys, I think this picture has been photoshopped.
If you look closely at head/neck line, you can tell the tits are fake
>>14977607
Cheers
>>14977776
I think it's too late for me to find a bigger bike to go on. I'll get there though...
>>14977771
>15.000km
My last tires lasted 6k before the wires showed.
What do you ride?
>>14977787
Don't get offendet man. I realy don't care if you are fat. But post ass pls,
Btw, all the famous Riders do Facereveals at some point.
When will you do it, qt?
>>14977806
Still amazed you didn't get flattened in the webm you posted yesterday
>>14977806

>>14977800

I have always photo shopped my tits
>>14977809
ye maybe when querly does his or vecci87
I think this is the only pic of my ass that I have on my phone
>>14977818
I've done better but I have to get my ass up onto the pillion seat if I want to get my helmet down behind the windscreen. It's a tough life being tall.
Who am I kidding? It's great.
>>14977809
>What do you ride?
I have a set of ContiTrailAttack 2 tires on my GS
>>14977826
I'm only 6'2 so never found any problem with fulltuk on bikes made for it.
>>14977831
does the tall guy actually race?
>>14977833
yes that's loris baz, motoGP rider / lanklet supreme and his specially (terribly) constructed extended subframe.
He is constantly downplaying how tall he is, going as far as once claiming he only has the body of a 185cm tall man but just has an especially tall neck, the kind of thing nobody in the universe who wasn't racing motoGP bikes would ever think to say.
http://www.crash.net/motogp/interview/208712/1/eric-mahe-loris-bazs-manager-qa.html
>>14977658
>>14977663
>>14977673
here we go boys
>>14977857
Well, there's a big discrimination against tall people in racing. He must be really good if he made it to motogp. a lot harder for tall person to be fast and to not get tired. I like seeing tall people 'make it'.
>>14977905
Indeed, I quite like loris and his stubborn refusal to not give up on the idea of MotoGP even with a team dropping him at the last minute in 2015 for being too tall, he could have been content at the pointy end of WSBK but he wasn't.
Also I think he could be a very good pirate villain in a movie, which is important.
>>14977913
Too pretty to be the villain.
>>14977465
Where is the clutch on that bike?
>>14977925
Pretty sure its a single gear.
>>14977925
>>14977927
inside the driveshaft or some shit
it has an internal centrifugal clutch, 4 speed
>>14977522
That's a weird fucking design for what looks like a suburban neighborhood.
>>14977928
Like rekluse shit?
>>14976736
what makes it better is I didn't even plan it that way, that's the weekend the campsites are available for SAM
>>14977535
>tfw no fuel gauge at all
>no reserve light
Just a speedometer, trip meter, neutral light, high beam light, and oil light here. Better listen to that engine if I want to avoid getting stranded.
>>14977932
just an alley between two streets
>>14977935
I don't know how rekluse works but possibly. The clutch kicks in either when the RPM reaches a certain level or when it reaches idle speeds.
>>14977649
How the fuck do people take advantage of engine braking? I always feel like it's too sudden or something.
>>14977670
Join the UJM club. You can learn basic maintenance too.
>>14977962
You have to blip the throttle
>More so if you're at high rpms
>Just a smidge if around 3-2k
>>14977962
the engine is pretty much the biggest brake on your bike. let the clutch lever out gently, and don't always downshift. occasionally, i even upshift to engine brake, like coasting toward a red light or something. but coming in for a corner, downshift braking can drop a lot of speed quickly, leaving you at high enough revs to pull straight into your powerband & out of the corner.
>>14977739
>still insulting the cx500
>one of the most reliable bikes of all time
>>14977989
Is that a man or a woman?
>just got my A license
>dad said he'd lend me money for a bike
>coworker wants me to buy his
lifes good brehs
>>14977994
it's a grilltard named anna vives
Jorge ran a number and helmet design by her once.
>>14977947
I get a reserve light but I rarely use it. I just swap between the clock and the trip odo to figure out how much I have left.
>tfw the display change button is the engine start button
>>14977986
Dude has no respect for his bike at all.
>>14978004
this tard wet I can tell
>>14978004
Looks fuckable in that pic.
>>14978004
What a nice human bean
https://madison.craigslist.org/mcy/5537830212.html
Good bad? Worth? Would be first bike, primary commuter.
