i wish i could buy an alfa
all alfas are beautiful
147, 159, brera, giulietta
beautiful 2 liter diesel engines the cars output 150 hp and ~300 Nm of torque and theyre decently fast. they also handle like theyre on rails and the interiors are beautiful. after trying a giulietta 1.9 jtdm my 70 hp shitbox just doesnt cut it anymore and life is pain. i cant find a job and i probably will never be able to get 5k to get a 159/147/brera in decent shape. also i cant understand how people can say 150 hp is slow. i guess if you regularly want to go over 150 kmh it is, but overtaking people already going 90 is a breeze and i saw myself hitting 180 in a straight that's not even that long. what car do you wish you had /dbt/?
Breras and 159s are pretty, but heavy so they need some power to get moving.
You could find a 156, even a final facelift one, for next to no money if you look carefully.
Also,

Gotcha.
Seriously though, a friend of mine has one of these (phase 3 wagon) in a beautiful dark metallic blue and it's been surprisingly reliable. I think it's a diesel.

Look up common problems and things to watch out for, like with any car you're considering.
That one car at least has been reliable enough with normal maintenance as far as I know.
