Kia/Hyundai has stepped up pretty well in the past 5 years. I would totally buy a Kia/Hyundai as my next car. I'm really excited for their Genesis brand too.

look at that and tell me it doesn't have pretty big design clues from the new clio which appeared around the same time

Why the fuck would you ever buy a Korean car over a Japanese car
>>15456381
New Japanese cars look like shit, Senpai

japan (aside from mazda) is resting on their laurels in terms of quality control and driving dynamics
korea is fighting for market share so they are willing to discount prices, include value-adds, and actually care about the driving experience of the econoboxes
japan's marketing strategy is "it's a fucking camry shut up it's good"
korea's strategy is "please for the love of god by my optima, let me show you why"
>Recently go on a vacation, forced to take a Kia Sorento when I wanted the Ferd Edge Ecoboost
>Wanted to find every reason to hate the kia
>comfy seats, good mpg, smooth v6 and transmission
Ignoring the ugly interior, I have to admit it was a good car. Gained a lot of respect for korean cars after spending two weeks with that sorento
