Name one flaw in this truck.

You mean no offroad? no tow power?
>If you look around only 1-5% people use a truck to tow and offroad.

Honda knows it's customers and is doing the perfect thing here. You get the comfort of a crossover, clever engineering(all way open-able truck lid, in-bed storage), etc 99.99% of truck features, fuel economy like no other truck has, etc.

>Protip to my question : You can't.

Maybe in the suburbs where you live.
Closer to 95% in my neighborhood.
My lawnmower has more ground clearance than that "truck".
Most of the U.S. is rural.
I own acreage, it would cost more to pave my driveway than it did to build the house you live in.
In the rainy season, that truck would have to park at the road- it would never make it up to my front door.

The reason you don't see trucks offroading is because you're on a road, and the reason you don't see towing is because people don't tow 100% of the time, and their truck is their DD as well as their work horse.

Seriously, trucks are REALLY useful, and you can't just have a SUV with a cut back being a truck. I need a truck, otherwise my CRV is just going to die one day.

>>15441724
Honestly Colorado ain't a bad truck.

My teacher owns one, but he has standard but long bed cos he actually hauls shit. V6, and all that it's from 2012 or so idk.

Anyway, it's basically a mini sierra, and it works really well as a truck. It can go off road, off road in a reasonable fashion, not a trail or even a worn path but not some CRAZY ROCK CRAWLING MUDDING EXPERIENCE or whatever.

But it's not a truck you should buy if you have the money to spec it up, it's better to just buy one of the 1/2 tons.

Also i wish dodge brought back the dakota, it was a nice truck.

>>15441847
Body on frame also has the advantage of not fucking up the body if you tow. It's the MUCH stronger frame taking all the load and it also helps cos you can have a REAL frame mounted hitch or maybe a plow or whatever.

Can't do that with unibody.

Though i guess it's OK cos anyone who buys a ridge line isn't doing any real work anyway.
>>
>>15441895
I would imagine a EV truck would lose a significant amount of range if you had anything more than a bike in the bed. Not to mention towing
>>
>>15441943
Fuck a payload, they lose 60% of range in anywhere below 0.
>>
>>15441928
This generation of Colorado is based on the last generation 1500 series with the v6 as the top engine. You might as well buy it over the ridgeline since they get identical mpgs with a v6

>Butthurt honda fags

It's people like you that make people give me looks when i roll in my car. And that sucks cos i love my CRV.

But no really, your pilot can't handle that trail when it gets wet. And for that same reason your Ridge line can't handle it either.

My crv has the same clearance as the ridgeline, and i've taken it down dry game trails because i lack the money to buy a real truck. 8 inches simply isn't enough, the number of things that hit my underside. Also all the shit i had to go around. I had a Ram behind me and a wrangler in front, so i wasn't in too much risk.

Ridgline simply isn't a truck, it's a SUV with the rear cut out. It works fine as a kid hauler and city crawler, but it wouldn't be able to do half of what a real truck can do.
>>
>>15440547
>Any idiot in an economy car can drive on this
I hope you don't seriously believe that. You need at least AWD to even try to tackle that. Some wheel will get stuck and the other 3 will get it out, and then one of the other tree gets stuck the other work. With 2wd you're just digging holes once you're stuck.
>>
>>15438668
Because it's shit at being a car AND it's shit as being a truck. So what is it? Definitely not a ute.
>>
>>15441943

It would have to have a very high capacity battery.

I think people would be more accepting of a little (or a lot) extra weight from a bigger battery in a truck.
>>
>>15443531
I can't tell if you're trolling or if you're genuinely retarded.
Even a Prius can handle a dry dirt track without a problem.

I just imagine you're the kind of person who takes your AWD/4WD nonsense on a dirt track, and then leaves his car dirty for a month so he can brag about how he went off-roading.
>>
>>15443564
Unless you drove right in the tire tracks of the previous car, or you're on packed earth, you are at high risk of getting stuck in something. And if it so much as gently drizzled in the past hour or two, you're getting stuck.

And nice meme.
I drive a 99 CRV, with part time 4WD, and part time is simply not enough when one of these trails gets wet. I've had to be dragged around by my friends jeep or ram multiple times because when wet some of these roads that look like a Prius could do to people who've never done them, get treacherous as fuck.

You need at least full time AWD if you want to be comfortable. Lockers would be what you need after a couple hours of rain.

Muh open dif and 2wd on closed seasonal roads was fine in rain/slush with factory tires. Are we talking about dirt trails or dirt roads?

This would literally be full of dirt if you drove on one construction site. This is a great idea for a soccer game and fishing trip but not a work vehicle.

I like Hondas too but this thing ist even a truck. Im sorry dude i dont care what it gets. If i cant drive through at least 2ft of snow its not a truck. Plus old American trucks do just fine. Im sure honda could make a truck but no one wants a crossover.

You've been forcefed all a truck should be BUT, not all a truck can be. Independent suspension does keep all rear tires on the road whether it's loaded or not.
Leaf springs and a solid axle does not.
All of that nonsense you're spewing out of your mouth is seriously outdated.

I really don't get why /o/ hates it so much. /o/ hates BOF trucks for being overkill and having more power and off road capacity than is required for their average buyer. Now that Honda builds a truck for the average consumer, /o/ hates that too.
>>
>>15449248
/o/ is full of brain dead retards, not a huge surprise

>>15449248
/o/ hates amped up CUMMINS TURBODIESEL POWERSTROKE CUMMASTER BIG HORN PENISBLASTER trucks because the people who buy them don't use them. They're poser fags who want to look like a man despite the fact that they do nothing but haul their kids around and drive it to their shitty office job.
The vast majority of people who actually use their truck have smaller work trucks.
>>
>>15449813
Because you can move shit like dirt and gravel or stuff like a new engine or transmission in an Odyssey
>>
>>15449837
What's stopping you?
I've transported a transmission and an entire, complete car door in an E39 sedan, people really overestimate what you need to transport things. Shit, I bet you could probably get an engine in the back of a wagon.
>>
>>15438668
This thing looks like complete donkey ass
>>
>>15449852
all modern trucks do
>>
>>15449851
Lugging an engine in a wagon would be a huge pain in the ass to load and unload, tie down so it wouldn't move around, and it would ruin the interior
>>
>>15449866
None of that is true, wtf.

Why do you even want a truck? You could choose a far more practical/economical/comfortable vehicle for your needs.

Not to mention with a proper full size truck you can pop your tailgate off and forklift a pallet right into that bitch.

It perfecly represents the truth of the modern truck. Truck guys can't accept what modern trucks really are. The ridgeline shoves it in thier face.

I'd be impressed if this "truck" was much smaller and cheaper...there's no reason for this to be as big and expensive as it is.
>>
>>15450104

Thats actually handy but jesus you hope the gomper on the forklift is good. It needs to swing out just a touch more.

Last time I checked semis towed 99% of their life. Absolutely the same.
>>
>>15440110

>>
>>15451163
Yes a semi truck is absolutely the same as a pickup truck. There is no other reason there are no unibody semi trucks other than unibody being bad for towing.
