What year was your FC? Was it bone stock?

What was the annual maintenance cost like?

1986 GXL model
Was stock when i bought it. I modded it over the years.
The only thing i ever replaced in 7 years was the starter.
So it was mostly fuel and oil.
The oil meme isnt as bad as people say.
I never premixed. Car was still running great with over 200k miles when i sold it.

I dont know much about first gens of their price. But honestly this fc looks like a really good example. I'd buy it if i was interested in second gens. Im not sure you could find a more pristine example for the money.

I own 2 first gens. The gauge cluster on these is stupid easy to tamper with. literally four screws, two connectors and a speed-o cable. Not saying it's been rolled, but it can happen. And honestly it doesn't matter one bit if the chassis is tight.

These aren't rare, don't be fooled. Highest production number of all the 7's, by a significant margin.

The "posi" rear isn't anything special. Its just the factory LSD, easy as fuck to pull from something else and not worth more than 200$ (and that's on the really high side like buying from ebay$).
>racing beat headers are worth 100$
>full exhaust looks like a muffler shop shit job worth 150$, the muffler at the very end is a piece of crap that will blow out if its not already (i bet money it is)
>crack in dash
>msd coils but no msd computer (coils like 60$ each new. msd ignition box is what you want tho)
>holley carb, 500$ street value all day every day
>holley mani, 200$ (not sure desu)

honestly this is worth 3K at the most. I love mine and im sure this would make an awesome car. but don't buy it for that much money.

Looks rougher. Paint on front bumper chipping.
>Hood clear coat needs a polish
>Oil filter was changed last year maybe its been changed since
ask for a picture of the interior facing backwards toward back window and of the seats.

Owner does not seem to know much about the car or care much about it. The 87 you linked is something to be really proud of owning, you will get love from the rotard community for it, and normal people will appreciate how nice it is for being old. However it'd be a shame for it to be a daily driver at all, it's much too nice for that.

talk down the 86 owner to 2.5-3K and it's not a bad deal. Take a good look at the underside though. I can imagine you will find rust.
