OP here its extremely frustrating, the best OE looking one I found was a $1500 Sony one (what the fuck is in it to be that much???). But I didn't realize this was a meme thread. I just bought a shit box and am now in the market for a new stereo and had no idea the designs haven't changed in 15 years. I don't want to look like a 16 year old with my stereo deck.

How did you find a charger to fit in your 12v receptacle? Every charger I've tried in my a4 seems to be too long to fit and they always fall out when driving.

Might want to grab two of em while you're at it. The advertised power is only a bit more than it actually outputs, I measured it once and it was more like 800milliamps and 1600 milliamps, but charges good enough and doesn't get too hot even if two devices are plugged in.

My parents bought a Pioneer for their old Mk2 Golf (around 2004-ish), then they installed it in our Twingo when we bought it, been running without problems until 2016 when we sold it. <y friend has a Pioneer in his Audi B5 and recently I've installed one in my E36 and I must say they have had the best audio quality out of all headunits we've owned. I can't even believe that the stock 13cm shitty Nokia speakers in my car are able to play music this nicely. I would have never thought how much quality depends on the headunit. And how shitty stock headunits are.

I own the Continental one and its buttons aren't soft, as I expected, but quite on the opposite side - their travel is very shallow and you press them firmly.
