My cars paint is peeling off on the spoiler (or whatever it is, it's like a clear plastic that initially bubbled but has since burst). I have fuck all experience in DIY, so I was wondering if anyone knows how much it would cost to repair, and what kind of place to look for online?
Australian dollars are preferable. Pic unrelated

Put water over it. If it looks good again all you need is to sand with 600grit and water to get the rough edges down, then buy some clear coat in a spray can and spray it over the area.

$15 job

I have no experience with tools to be honest, but if it's going to cost me hundreds just to get the spoiler touched up, this might be the only way. I'd probably be willing to spend 10x that for a professional job, but no more.

600 grit will leave sand lines. spray paint always looks like ass dont even try to argue.

OP just take the car to a shop, odds are its gonna cost no more than 150-200 and it will be perfect.

You are stupid. Why are you giving out advice.

oh, and you cant just "sand the edges down" when clear coat starts to delam, you need to remove it because if parts are already lifting, the rest will soon follow.

I work with professionals every day and have been doing work on my own cars for a loooonnggg time. If all it took was a spray can to make a car look perfect again, a lot of people I know would be out of a job.

Painting a car isnt as cut and dry as most people think it is.

Thanks mate. If I were a more hands on guy I'd do some research and do it myself but I really don't trust myself not to fuck it up.

either way, unless you spray paint from a gun, its not gonna lay properly and will have a "dry spray" effect in where the paint looks rough, and no amount of wet sanding and buffing will make that go away completely . Just buying a decent spray gun will cost you 200+. painting is best left to professionals.

make a friend that works at a panel beaters, buy him beers and get him to sand and re-paint the spoiler.

Done.
