>decade old electric opel built by chinks

Yes.
They are made in Trollhättan still.
So as long as they use Swedish steel and swedish workers I'm in.

SAAB engines are torque monsters, and with Electric motors they are even more torqy.
That is if they do the right thing, by making them decently strong.

Not much of a choice anymore, since NEVS is continuing on with their own name after Saab Aerospace rescinded the rights to use the name.

And quit meming about RWD, Saab was doing FWD since 1949 and then broke into AWD in the 00s. And knew how to work with turbos long before the Japanese ever figured out what "boost" even means.

And scania still manufacturs in Finland, used to work for them.

Why would you need a turbo if you can have ludicrous mode?

Why did Saab never catch on with the mass market? You could argue that they're too idiosyncratic for most people. But if you think about it they really aren't, apart from a couple of ergonomic things (ignition on the transmission tunnel, which isn't necessarily applicable now since keyless ignition).

Subarus are arguably quirkier cars, yet they sell a million cars a year, but Saab couldn't crack 200k sales most of the time.

Trying to squeeze their way into the mass market was probably the mistake that ultimately killed the brand. They lost their uniqueness and became another boring carmaker, and you can't beat the germans on that front. They should have stayed relatively small, taking advantadge of the loyal customer base, and go fucking nuts trying new stuff like they did back in the day because that's what made them succeed in the first place.

Well, mine is awd
