No, unless a cylinder is losing compression if the car is freshly serviced and maintained it shouldn't lose any power.
When its losing compression it just means its time for an engine rebuild which should have it running back as normal.
Almost all the 20hp loss people usually report is a result of bad maintenance. New spark/coils/wires/oil/filters and some TLC should have it as new.

If this where the case my car would have negative power.

Don't forget tranny and diff fluids. Many people are driving around with dirty old piss fluids in their drivetrain and they wonder why their car doesn't make any whp on the dyno...
>>15399157
This.
Some cars have even a handful more horses compared to when new even without tuning for some reason.

This replaced a slipping trans in my old fox body went from 270HP to around 330 on the dyno

it probably has
a guy on LS1 tec dyno'd his stock 101K mile 2002 WS6 and it made the same power (302rwhp)than it did when it was new.
Nice cock
In a really old cars, maybe.
And i mean really old, because my first gen miata is fucking 24 years old and yet the engine works like new.
I've dynoed it recently and it actually produces +1hp more than the factory spec, and it's completely stock.
>35 year old 2 stroke moped
>made 2 hp brand new
i don't think that rule applies to everything
also
>carbon buildup should technically be INCREASING COMPRESSION, therefore increasing torque and HP
so a well maintained older engine that does have a bit of carbon buildup would be making power HP than a brand new engine

35 year old 2-stroke still on the factory cylinder/rings/piston?
Heresy, I say!
>>15399715
Probably because of modern fluids and stuff like that

Yamaha bitch
starts on the first kick. factory pre-mix setup with a Mikuni carb
it even has the original Yokohama tires
only like 2,600 miles on it. 100+ Mpg
>>15405923
Ah, only 2600 miles? That would explain it
35 year old Yamaha... FS1?

This shows what a little maintenance can do for you.
This is now a yamaha 2t thread

cars do lose horsepower over the years but one per year is a very loose measurement
i have a 1981 Toyota Hilux that i put a 45,000km engine into, thing probably makes near factory horsepower. i have a 1979 Toyota Supra that was daily driven every summer from 79-2011, with 215,000km it probably has 90 of its 110 original horsepower
One of the horses inside the engine dies, you should buy more horses to speed up your car.
