They're bretty gud. I have a 2013 and really like it. Haven't bought gas in like two months, with my last DD I was at the gas station once every two weeks.

Does the generator work well enough that you can drive across the country if you want?

Can anyone say how this car works?

Is it a hybrid? Or full electric?
Does this car charge itself from braking?
>>
>>15393816

Yes, the drivetrain is powered by an electric motor, a gas generator charges the batteries when not plugged in. Yes it has regenerative braking.

Yes you can. but you won't go into strictly EV-only mode until it's recharged via an external charger. The gas generator just produces electricity to power the motor. It doesn't directly charge the batteries.

OP, They're great cars.

2 things I feel I should point out. Every always says the Prius came out with regenerative braking first or that the Prius was the first hybrid and both accounts are wrong.

GM built the first hybrid car in 1969 (pic related). It was an experiment called the XP883 and was a plug-in hybrid built using off the shelf parts. It was considered for production but ultimately canceled due to the cheap price of gas at the time so there wasn't any market for it.

GM also invented regenerative braking to help with their GM EV1 electric car, which was the subject of the documentary "Who Killed The Electric Car?"
