I want to buy an Escalade soon, but I feel luxury cars are unrealiable and only made for dumb guillable niggers who get them leased.

Well there you have it

Escalades are decently reliable as far as luxury cars go. It shares most of its parts with the plentiful Tahoe/Suburban/Yukon and has a solid drive train.

If you decide to go for a Benz SUV instead you might get a bit of a smoother ride, but you'll also get exponentially higher repair costs.

Escalades have insanly high insurance rates thanks to all the niggers doing goon shit with them

It's mostly because it's the #1 pick for car thieves.

I have an old 2001 ML 430. I guarantee repair and running costs for it are far lower than they would be for an Escalade

>>15391743
Seriously depends on what you buy OP. I basically have a fleet of aging luxury cars at this point, but I have chosen wisely and thus have very few issues

wow i used to have respect for you
thats definitely not true considering half the parts you can buy for a tahoe/suburban and use with the escalade. also police use tahoes a lot so the parts are there and they are dirt cheap

Haha bash it all you want, I'm used to it with that car, but it's still a comfy ride, reliable as fuck, and parts cost for it are cheaper than my 2003 F-150.

I KNOW fuel and servicing will be cheaper than an Escalade because that thing can't even get close to 20mpg highway

Is 3 MPG really going to offset that much?

Is the 430 less than $100/year more expensive in parts?

>still costs more in fuel than the Caddy

holy crap is this real?

that's horrible

i have a 4x4 from the 90s that gets ACTUALLY 23mpg on the highway

Doing some quick and dirty math accounting for both vehicles using premium fuel, it's about 20 dollars more in fuel cost per 1000 miles driving in the Escalade. If you drive 18,000 miles a year, that's $360 a year in extra fuel cost for the Escalade vs the ML 430, assuming all highway driving. Up to the buyer/you how much the fuel cost actually means. Parts costs, at least in my experience, have shown them to be in line with or cheaper than comparable parts on my F-150

What's funny, is my family actually cross shopped the ML and the Escalade directly against one another back in the early 2000's, so I got to ride around in tons of each at the time. My mom wanted a new SUV, and it was going to be one of the 2. The ML was such a nice ride, even back then, it's why I went out and got one as a winter beater a couple years ago.

The biggest issue/selling point for me, other than the Merc being more comfortable, is just the feel. Escalades, even new ones, still feel cheap and fragil. Nothing about them, even when I test drive people in 1-2 year old ones, feels like it's going to last. The ML on the other hand, while full of faults, does feel well built. yeah the interiors for the early 2000's ones were ghastly but the car feels solid and well made when you drive it. Plus, the 4matic system really does work in bad weather/snow/modest off road conditions, and it has a low range

Really at the end of the day, I've just never liked the Escalade. If you really wanted something like that, you should jsut buy a LTZ tahoe for half the money anyway

It's real, and they figure the ML on using premium and the caddy on using regular
