Being a Dutch fag with a Mazda 626 coupe registered on february 20 1988, it was well on its way to become a classic (25 y/o) exempting it from road tax. However due to law changes in 2013 the government now considers only 40+ y/o cars classics, but all semi-classics that are registered before january 1 1988 get a 75% discount tax rate with a maximum of 120 Euros per year.
Meaning Bbecause of a difference of 19 fucking days days i get to pay full road tax until 2028 when it finally is considered a classic.
The only plus side is that i managed to get a cheap parts car because all semi-classics after 1988 get dumped en masse here.

The small bulbs inside the gauge-face and dash fail randomly, meaning that during night rides you have dark spots on your speedo/tacho, invisible HVAC controls and fuck-all idea where the ashtray is when trying to use it.
An incredibly big pain in the ass to replace, naturally. And the more bulbs you replace, the more the nearly 20 yo dashboard starts rattling.
Other than that it's almost perfect.
