There is asbestos in houses. But what about cars? I want to buy a classic car as a daily driver but am wondering about asbestos.

Would a classic car seller not like it if I send a piece of the interior away for asbestos testing. Would I look dumb doing this.

Maybe you should fuck off back to your quarantined shitboxes you fucking vagina.

brakes.
asbestos best brakes
also asbestos is only harmful if eaten or breathed in while airborne, you're fine if you don't snort brake dust.

As a person who does work in asbestos

Yes, you would look fucking stupid. Most classic cars would have them in friction linings (think brake pads and clutch discs) and gaskets. The best way to avoid exposure is by simply wetting it down/washing it off and wearing a respirator with P100 filters (Magenta HEPA particulate).

It's only a issue if you're working as a mechanic and doing brake jobs every day for the next 20+ years. Even then asbestos wasn't fully banned and a lot of the cheap aftermarket parts (pads/clutch discs from China) still have some percentage of chrysotile. You're more likely to get exposed doing construction or demolition nowadays.

You sound pretty inane. I'm worried about asbestos in the vehicle.

anything that has friction applied to it or needs to act as a thermal/electrical seal could have it.

There wouldn't be any to begin with, and whatever there would be would be likely organically bound and impossible to make friable (and thus respirable) without grinding at it or destroying it. I've never heard or seen any being used in interior materials (MAYBE sound deadening if it has any, but that would still have a tar binder). You're worrying too much.

are you genuinely retarded?

The stuff in between your toenails is asbestos so why do you worry about asbestos in a old car.
