When will Cadillac finally be put out of its misery? Nobody buys these shitboxes!
Also good job /o/. You were wrong AGAIN!
Just look at these numbers.
>first 3 months of production
>expecting the CT6 to sell in volume outside china
>make objectively better product than bmw, with the exception of some interior quality
>nobody buys it because it doesn't have a bmw badge
i weep for the automotive industry

People with the money for an equivalent BMW wouldn't accept the subpar build quality though.
Also cheap luxury doesn't work. Cadillac is the equivalent of D&G belts and t-shirts and shit

They should just retire the brand and replace it with something else. It recalls to mind cigar smoking grandpas driving landyachts with plush seats who listened to Sinatra during the 50s, 60s and 70s. The kind of guys who survived WW2. And that era is gone. Dead and gone.
The brand was never really associated with performance, it was about big-ass boaty tanks that fondled your butt with seat padding that went miles deep. And if you look to see what kinds of Caddies sell the best - it's their over-the-top luxury SUVs. People who are into Caddies want that big boat with all the bells and whistles that gently massage an inflated ego.
They should take the performance part of the brand and just create a new brand or revive one of their old brands. And return Cadillac back to its roots of being big'nboaty.
Hell, I bet people would buy Cadillac branded RVs, if they did them right.

>They should just retire the brand and replace it with something else.
Its cheaper to try and revive the brand than scrap it entirely and come up with something else that will need a new catchy slogan, a new advertisement campaign, a new design language since they obviously couldn't use the current one as its currently used by Cadillac.
It would basically be a huge waste of money for little to no gain. its cheaper just to work with what they have. besides, The guy working with them also turned Audi and Infinity around after slumping sales on their part. he should be able to do something with Cadillac too in due time.
>They should take the performance part of the brand and just create a new brand or revive one of their old brands.
The performance part of a Luxury brand is something all luxury automakers need or at this point have. Lexus isn't going to "return" to making nothing but reliable luxury barges like they use to. they are pushing performance so they better fit in with everyone else. without the performance aspect people might just assume they aren't as "cool" or advanced enough to make swiss-army knife luxury cars like everyone else. Driving dynamics are a big part of luxury cars in this new age of luxury. it adds a certain spark and prestigious value not to mention it speaks to the "James Bond" types who want a swiss-army knife of luxury car. and every automaker is pushing to give the best blend of Luxury, Performance, and Comfort.
Lexus has "F"
BMW has "M"
(i'm not sure what Infinity has)
and Cadillac has "V". would not be a smart move to dump "V" when all the other brands have their own performance stamp. Lexus saw the benefit and its why they added "F" to capture those edgy M drivers if at all possible.
>And return Cadillac back to its roots of being big'nboaty.
Bad Idea. Boat-car wouldn't work and while having at least ONE super-luxury car is good (like Mercedes's Maybach) land-barge era is over and market is going SUV/Crossover.

There are significant quality control holds on most people's orders. Also GM refuses to ship individual CT6s so though the car has passed QC, it sits waiting for delivery.

Except that nobody is buying Cadillac performance. Look at the numbers that OP posted again. Look at them.
>>15351440
You do realize that Cadillac capped the amount of CTS-Vs that could be ordered. Whether artificial scarcity will work similar to the release of the Nintendo Wii, time will tell. Though you have a decent chance of finding a single ATS-V in your state.
>>15351445
Eh, why would I bother? I'd just get some other bland looking luxury sedan.
>>15351459
Good thing the CTS-V isn't known for it's performance.
These 2 cars cost the same.
But one still has a peasant tier gauge cluster. Why?
>>15351466
Frankly, it isn't known for anything. When you say Corvette, people automatically know what you're talking about. Try asking people to tell you what a CTS-V is, without resorting to google first.

Complacency

The Cadillac?
>>15351471
No they don't
The caddy is 5 grand cheaper.

Those are CT6 numbers not "V"s. People aren't buying GTRs in comparison to Corvette Z06s but it wouldn't be a good idea on Nissan's part to just up and drop the GTR even if they aren't making anywhere near as much money on it as the Z06 or 911 GT3/2. it would be missed opportunity for positive brand publicity like when they first went around the Ring and became the fastest luxury car to do so until the Panamera. the Car that made the run was sold at auction and it undoubtedly drew some attention to the newly established V series.
as long as the cost of having it doesn't far exceed the money brought in then there's not much reason to drop now after they've gone this far.
