86 is first year of efi. Mas (speed density) not maf (air volume- like the 87-93 mustang guys have) so not as good to tune.

Engine is 300, 302 or 351.
Transfer case is a borgwarner (208 I think, maybe 205)
Trans is c6 if auto, forget what manual is.
Diff is 9" or 8.8" ( depends on availability at the plant when it rolled off the line).
Gearing is 3.08-3.55
Some people on this forum actually have experience on these trucks and don't need a vin to google to learn about it...
