The only thing it needs is a 12 volt electrical system and it becomes the literal perfect starter classic.

I like the look of everything posted so far.
First car for me.
>>15325990
77-80 had a 12-volt negative ground, brah. For the last years of its life, the MGB finally became reliable enough to DD.
Well, if you stick an electronic ignition in it, at least. But every old British car needs that.

>>15326221
This car is a beautiful convergence of congruity. I want to know the person who owned this car.
Please tell me I shouldn't buy one in a few years
>>15326346
>DS
Have fun finding a mechanic that can work on it.
>>15326352
Already have one
>>15326130
Too low to be practical compared to Impreza or BMW 5-series wagon of same period
AWD system wasn't up to par
>>15326019
Are you retarded?
That's a Dodge.
>>15326356
Have fun paying him. Even the Citroen-supplied shop manuals are useless for actually working on the damn thing.
Beautiful cars, but absolute nightmares to maintain.
>>15326221
More like RUST amirite
>>15325924
k
>>15326483
Slow and can't reach its full potential without modification.
>>15326500
In a nutshell, that's every car ever made. Name one that comes perfect from the factory (that isn't german)
>>15326555
There's "Not perfect from the factory" and then there's "Needs extensive modification to become the car it's advertised as".
>>15326381
*whoosh*
>>15326606
Still got my (You)
>>15326569
Such as the fiero.
>i get it now
>>15325924
british engineering is shit
there's a reason they all died while the germans flourished
>>15326670
No, British LEYLAND a shit. MG had the best build quality of the whole company by a wide margin and had the best inroads with the American market, but BL execs hated the brand because it was from the BMC side of the merger. They were left to try and hold up Austin and Morris (and consequently got no money to design new shit) while Triumph got unlimited funding in their neverending quest to find new ways to make engines blow their headgaskets.
>>15325924
easy mode
It doesn't specifically have to be diesel but I like the sound of them
>>15328715
The drivetrain is unkillable. The rest of the car is most definitely not. And everything, including the automatic transmission, is vacuum powered. It is entirely possible to fuck up your shifting by doing a sloppy oil change.
