The engine has its merits. Beefy 850cc triple with lots of torque. But yeah, I checked some out at a dealership. The craftsmanship just seemed subpar.
Their new XSR900 looks pretty great though. Its basically an FZ09 with a better suspension and different styling.

Different really. I have a 1000cc and a 250cc. I like my 250cc for the twisties, really wringing it out for power. The 1000cc is nice around town, on the highway and for daily riding.
Can break every speed limit in the country in first, but I can only just click into 3rd or 4th and put around while still being able to pull if I need to.
Like I said yesterday, I'm going to buy one of these in 2 years. It has to be a 2016+ model though, so hopefully they will have some unsold older ones because you can't find any used adventure bikes around here.
