I bet they were going to put their plate frame on but forgot about it midway through the job. I had a service manager that's bright idea was to take any other dealer plate off and replace it with ours any time a car was in for any reason, half of the customers were pissed, especially the ones that noticed it a week later after the other frame had been tossed, yet the policy pushed on.

but I went to the mazda dealership anon. I don't even know, I honestly thought some shitter stole my plate at first because I didn't notice until the next day that it was gone. It was on one of those mustache miata frames that fuckifies the front bumper surface, secure enough to stay in place but not screwed in. 2 weeks later I called them, they had it in the car wash the whole time. I wouldn't mind if not for the fact that my state requires front and back plates
