The madmobile keeps getting away with it 50 YEARS later, how can Ferrari even compete? USA > Italy for the next 50 years :^)
>GM got literally cucked by everyone this year
FORD > everything
EcoBoost is the future
>>15293785
Sir rippletits pls go
>>15293765
if they weren't sandbagged right before qualifying, I'd bet we would have seen the 1,2,3 finish return
but LeMan crew was a bunch of faggots this year
>>15293765
fucking Ecoshit 0,000005 litre v6 shit fucking turbos FUCK
>>15293846
Stay in the losers circle, yuropoor
>>15293991
europoors won the the overall at LeMans...
>>15293991
Someday Ferrari will come back full force with a massive V12 and the ecoboost meme will me over
>>15294308
The F12 TdF is probably the last Ferrari that will ever sport a V12.
>>15294323
"Is this the last V12?" is a phrase thats been in circulation for a decade now
They're gonna be here in some shape or form in the future
GM LITERALLY BTFO!!!
>mfw they tought they had a chance
Tfw got a V6 Mustang
Tfw V6 is the future
>ford won lemans with massive restrictions
kek
>>15294543
Not your V6 friend.
>>15294543
Now all you need is a GT and you're all set.
>>15294779
All I need is to ECOBOOST it.
>>15293765
have you went over 20 shitposts threads already anon?
Sage and report, don't bother to argue the shitposters.
>>15294308
No, they won't. Lemans officials keep downsizing engines. They're only going to get smallee.
>>15294816
>V6
Dude.. really? My fucking 32y old volvo has a v6.
>>15295950
Jesus, I'm sorry. You should have went for the i4.
>>15293785
GM will just need to build a car to the new rules, and not update the old cars.
the ford ecoboost sounded like a fart can honda going down the track
>>15296302
It definitely had a high pitch whine, but definitely not like a Honda.
>>15293785
Nissan didn't even show up in the GT class
Ford>Ferrari
Chevy>Nissan
Murrica
suck it europoors
>>15296338
GTE is for cucks m8
>>15296358
that would be nice had not been for the fact that porsche won the 2016 24H of lemans
>>15296365
>v8
But I thought Nissan V6 was superior?
>>15296982
nissan makes the best v8s and v6s
however the ecoboost is good too
>>15297006
>nissan makes the best v8s
>>15297045
yeah, thats why LMP2 is dominated by [Insert whatever shitbrand you like]
>>15297085
Nissan had 22 cars in LMP2, they better have
>>15297085
It's because they are cheaper than the others anon.
>>15297114
>>15297138
>excuses
>>15297114
Bullshit. Other people had 22 cars in LMP2.
>>15297085
>LMP2
List of Nissan Le Mans overall victories:
List of Nissan F1 victories:
>>15297162
I don't care if it's a factory team or not, it's still the same Nissan. they made up more than 1/3 of the field in a 3 class race.
>>15297169
>dmg cntrl
neither Formula one or LMP1 use production based engines, so basically irrelevant to the discussion of production engines
you could literally pull a VK from a Nissan and make your own LMP2 winning engine
>>15297175
The fuck it is. Those were cars with their own chassis' and they used Nissan engines.
>>15297175
thats because no one else can compete
how is that Nissan's fault?
>>15297169
You know we could apply the same logic to the DFV right?
>>15294448
It's been in circulation because of future standards that have been known for a decade. That's why this one is most likely the last outside of incredibly small run hypercars.
>>15297196
wat
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cosworth_DFV#Major_successes
DFV is pretty much the most successful racing engine of all time.
>>15297211
>reading comprehension
Do all of those successes translate to Ford F1 wins?
>>15295331
Downsizing the engine or engine displacement?
>>15297303
Were you born retarded or are you just pretending today?
>>15297315
displacement. cheese eating surrender monkeys put the displacement at 4 litres max. and the ecoboost v6 is a 4 litre.
>>15297190
nissan now partially owned by renault. viva le france motherfucker!
>>15297434
It's actually 3.5L but shrug.
>>15297434
>and the ecoboost v6 is a 4 litre.
3.5l actually.
>>15297184
Put that way, you could pull a J32 out of a TSX and make a P2 car too. You just need a custom rotating assembly, dual cam heads, dry sump. The block can stay.
>>15297315
>>15295331
Displacement. If Ferrari makes a v12 that is under 5.5 liters they can use it. If they make it under 4 liters the can turbo or supercharge it. Problem is that their efficiency will be shit which is why all the manufactures are switching to turbos or low displacement cars.
>There will never be a GT with the aussie Ford 4 litre inline 6 turbo engine
>next fifty years
No, they're actually BTFO forever. Racing with gasoline engines probably won't exist in 50 years. Racing itself will be a niche sport by then. Ferrari literally got BTFO on their last chance to beat Ford.
>>15293765
USA > Italy for the next 50 years
That's not much of an achievement desu. Italy has been shit for the last 1000 years.
>>15295331
I can see in the near future Le Mans cars running with an I4 1.5 liter turbocharged
>>15301713
Have you looked up the combustion engines used in the LMP1 cars?
GM thought they could rest on their laurels after last years win. Instead they slammed into a wall. Total reversal of last time. Much work needs to be done for next year.
At least they aren't Toyota.
>>15302651
toyota finished second in class, GM finished last
>>15302660
They didn't DQ it for the shenanigans with the last lap? Also did they ever say what caused it to explode?
>>15302668
>doesn't know each lmp1 team had two cars
pls lurk more
>>15302694
I thought Kobayashi's spaz had taken them down to fourth
>>15297198
my understanding of the EU standards, and most importantly how they are applied and can be bent, leads me to believe that as long as it's a part of FCA, Ferrari can keep making V12 cars, or for that matter pretty much any cars they like.
