I'm German and the sections of Autobahn without the almost regular speed limit of 120kph are rare and a massive thorn in the side of a lot of politicians.
What's more is that our former speed limits of 50 kph in most towns is being reduced to 30 in more and more towns and villages. Roads that used to have a speed limit of 100 get more and more 70 signs all over the place.
German politicians are literally demanding fines of at least €1000 for doing 20 kph over the speed limit.

1. Traffic flow cameras. A central computer scans the images and counts the cars, their average speed, and collects for statistics reporting. It then controls various traffic lights over all over the downtown area so that there is good synchronized throughput between the traffic lights.
2. Traffic Light Runners. These film both the front and back of cars that run traffic lights. You are supposed to come to a stop when yellow since yellow does NOT mean go faster. They make a lot of money from these as running a red light is expensive.
3. School zone Cameras. As expected. A zone road can be as big as half a mile because of the pedestrian crosswalks for kids crossing the road.
4. HOV lane.
5. Toll lane.
6. License plate and tag checking. This was turned off due to complaints and a activist demonstration at a council meeting that these are racist.
7. No Right Turn on Red Camera. Some intersections are no right turn on red but scofflaws caused these cameras to be installed.
8. People Watching Cameras. They try to keep these low key and computers scan images at night to look for vandals or thieves moving around. They can actually track people between different cameras and print a plot of the person's walking path and how long he took to get to various points on that path. If he took too long, it flags that segment as being possible the person spent time doing something other than walking (casing, vandalizing, looking for valuables,etc).

That's why it's important for the NRA to protest against every limitation no matter how trivial in order to reduce rights erosion.
If you use your right to be silent, they treat you as guilty anyways since that is considered suspicious activity and thus they use that to justify getting warrants. If they knock on your door and ask to search your house, you say no. They consider that no to be suspicious enough to use that as evidence to get a search warrant.

The most obvious are the emergency vehicles.
