so my car cant go over 60mph and its a manual, I heard it might

so my car cant go over 60mph
and its a manual,

I heard it might be a problem with a limiter but I have no knowledge in cars so I have no idea ,

any suggestions anybody?

your alternator might be dead and your car is in a limp home mode. Running purely off the battery.

It happened to me once. Back in 2000 I was driving my saturn SC2. The car wouldn't go over 3000 rpm or over 30 mph. turned out the alternator was toast.

my shitbox almost stops accelerating after 2k rpms. It has a broken turbo tho
