I'm about to go out and buy a GMC Canyon tomorrow.

I want a comfortable vehicle that's practical, and has a nice ride height for my bad back. The Canyon fits all those parameters that's not a full-blown SUV or Crossover. I test drove a bunch of different shit, and this was the best blend of price, comfort, practicality, and daily use.

My question is... am I making a mistake? I don't have many uses buying a full-sized pickup, but would it be better if I got one over the Canyon?

Also: is spending another $10k on a loaded version with the duramax that much better than a loaded version without the Duramax? I'm not going to be hauling heavy loads, so even the I4 would be fine. I'd prefer the V6 for the extra power, but the most I'm going to be hauling is some motorcycles, my track car, or off-road vehicles.

The thing is going to be my new DD since my back got fucked up recently and I can't daily my MS3 anymore. So I'm turning that into a track car.

H-Town, hold it down.

what was wrong with a used lexus RX?

Too costly, ugly, and a lot less practical.

Sure it was more comfy, but a lot of the costs overweighed benefits.

If you can afford a duramax canyon you can afford a used rx350.

With both, I would have to wait a bit and save up for. I was simply asking about the Duramax, but not super interested in buying one.

duramax would greatly increase resale value.
