I'm using Autoglym for most of my products right now, but I'm gonna try this for my next purchase.

Black '14 Mustang GT Premium
Lots of Meguiars.. wash soap, microfiber wash mitt, clay, regular quick detailer spray for clay, 6" orbital buffer, liquid polish, detailer spray for black paint, liquid wax, a million microfiber towels, interior wipes, leather wipes

I try to hand wash thoroughly once every couple of months but I don't have the best place to do it and I don't have a water filter so hard water spots are terrible. 2-3 times a week I go to the car wash and just use the wand with soap spray to get bugs and dirt off, then rinse it really well with the spot free. When I get home I go over the whole thing with detailer spray and a microfiber towel. At least once a month I wax it all down.

Rain water.

I stop by the pay-by-the-minute pressure washer place to spray off the salt every once in a while during winter.

So many better things to spend money on than fancy soap and wax.

New to auto detailing. Is Meguiar's a premium brand of stuff or like the good-for-value brand of stuff?

Use autoglym a lot myself, the one shampoo I use for my BMW smells like god damn apples or pears or some shit like that.
After I'm done cleaning the car, it smells like a girl.

GLORIFIED CAR WASHES

Overvaluing a piece of metal and plastic which in a couple years will either be in the scrapyard or in the hands of a nigger who won't care shit.

Only for autists.

Do pity on Jamal though as they don't have easy access to running water, much less clean water. Actually, they have no water at all.

Yes I am extremely mad. I wash my beauty at least three times a week, usually every other day and at least once a week vacuum and go through the interior with a god damn toothbrush to get every single nook and cranny clean.

1999, 1.8L petrol, Skoda Octavia wagon

Rainwater

Natural water

Considering it has withstood over a year of the elements without a wash it looks pretty slick after a rainy day
The windows are pretty foggy on the inside though, so it's soon time for a complete cleaning.

They have both, the stuff they sell at walmart is fantastic and pretty much all you'll ever need for your own car, but they also have a line of more expensive products for professionals.

Damn that's a beautiful car. Is that a rare color for an e38? It looks like Toyota's Imperial Jade Mica. Those 90s dark green cars are the best.

I use a combination of products, sticking to one brand is pretty dumb.
But it's mostly meguiars.

What do you use that's not Meguiar's? The contradiction implied by your statement is a bit strange.

I use whatever I need, it just happens that meguiars is what's on the shelf when I go to the store.

Turtle Wax ICE carpet cleaner works pretty well on my light grey carpet and seats.
>>
>>15226314
New 2016 car.

Biweekly because easy and fast.

Spray non-ammonia cleaner on clearcoated aluminum alloy wheels. Pre-rinse car and wheels with jet to remove large particles. 1 minute or less.

2nd stage pre-rinse of wheels means I spray once more lightly with cleaner and wipe very gently with paper towel and stream of water. Don't care how dirty towel gets as it will be tossed. The purpose is to remove greasy grime without scratching. 2 minutes.

Use hose driven soap dispenser sprayer and microfiber mitt with meguiar gold class car wash to try to not wash off the sealant. Don't use a bucket since the fresh flow of clean soapy water removes grit rather than rubbing on the mitt until the mitt is dipped in the bucket. 2 passes over car is 5 to 8 minutes depending if people talk to me.

Switch to deionizing water rinse so no spots. Microfiber drying.

Switched from meguiar's Gold Class wax Ultimate Liquid Wax due to ease of use and ease of removal. It lasts longer than gold class too. It seems to be equivalent to turtle wax ICE which a friend uses. I may borrow his ICE to try and compare some day. Deliberate speed run record time is under 5 minutes to apply and remove. Yes, it says to wait before removal, but I was only trying to have a record time to measure how easy it is to use and remove without leaving white marks when the wax cures. I will then compare to turtle wax ICE times later.

>What /o is using for detailing?

I am using my HomeOwnerAssociation for detailing. HOA says land deed requirement has no toxic runoff, thus no water runoff carwashing. So, I use mother nature's daily air and sun to wash my car. The dust landing on the car falls off when driving, thus carrying away some grease or grime that might stick to those dirt particles.

I use the HOA application to wax my car. I think how nice it will be. The car is now waxed (virtually in my head) in a minute. I use only the $2000 paste wax that was described in a prior /o/ thread, so my virtual wax job is probably superior to anyone else in this thread.

Thank you HOA for making my wash and wax so easy to do!

2005 Mustang GT

Wash using AutoGlym soap, clay bar, bug/tar remover

Paint Polished with Sonax 3/6, Rupes yellow pad and Rupes Bigfoot 21

Protected with one layer of ultracoat sealant followed by a layer of Carnauba wax

For maintenance, quick wash every few days. Bottle of spray wax and microfibers in car for emergencies.

This shit is therapeutic for me, I milk it for all its worth. Clay + gold class paste wax is all I use.

You asked for it, being a higher up at an HOA is the closest to legally being an actual Nazi you can get. They can pry my microfiber towels and cleaners out of my cold, dead hands.
