ive personally owned a 98 legacy outback and a 00 forester and loved them both. im considering branching out further and trying an impreza outback but not shure if i should stick with what i alread know and love.

Aus land here. I just bought a $1200aud Impreza RX '99 (thats $880 US) and while it is undeniably not perfect it is a hell of a lot of fun and I have quite a few plans for it.
Fun little car but lacks somewhat on the power front, only weighs about 1200kg though so it's not all that bad
Buy one and fall in love my dude. Just put on a new full exhaust, custom uel headers stock cats and tsudo n1 cat back. Sounds like sex. Bought it 6 months ago with 79k for 1600, has 87k now and no problems. Drove a forester of the same gen with the 4spd auto and you'd be cucking yourself if you didn't buy one with a 5 speed. Just a few days ago I bought some bf goodrich gforce sport comp 2s for the new 08 2.5i wheels I got for it and a 2.5rs grille, for a first car I couldn't be happier.. interior is clean as fuck too, rusty on the rear wheels and rockers but that's new york for you.

Mine is a 2000, I was looking to pick up a Honda before I found this gem but none of them are clean and AWD is literally cheat codes for grip. Still gonna jump on a minty fresh CRX though when one pops up, I'm happy I got a scoob tho
