Daily reminder that GTE Pro cars have very little in common with their homologation roadcars. Front and rear subframes and suspension pickups are all purpose built. Body panels aren't shared. This years rules give Ford the ability to put a massive diffuser under the rear. The only thing that remains the same is the body shell in the middle. Even then, i'm not sure how much. Read the FIA and ACO regulations, you fags.
Ford can't afford to play in P1 because A) not big enough to start an outfit and B) not enough money for a P1 program. Maybe if they didn't sell shitty cars for the better part of 2 decades, they'd do better. GM doesn't even enter the equation here. Not that P1 matters; touring car racing is all about showing off the cars you make that average joe can buy. Just dont tell Joe he cant afford the Ford GT, the Corvette won't be as fast as the race car, the 911 has double wishbone fronts on the Cup cars but not the road cars, and the Z4 doesn't have a V8 option. But you really can be as hektik as SVG if you buy a McLaren. Audi needs to be in P1 because the R8 can't win shit these last couple years, and the TT can't win anything if it doesn't have its own one make series.
