Should i replace the tuning belt or is it fine to keep using pic rel belt for couple thousand miles more?
Im no ezpert bit it looks fine to me.
Also, should i replace the tensioner if it has really small shaft play in it?
Im poorfag but i dont want to get even poorer by poor decisions

You already have it off so why not just go ahead and replace it?
>>15207797
I want to say replace it since you're already balls deep into the job, but at the same time, that belt does look really fresh.
Replace it m8, you'll only cry yourself to sleep when your pistons high-five your valves because you decided to re-use it for the sake of a few dollarydoos

Miles on belt?

>should I perform preventative maintenance on my car guys? I don't want to because I'm poor the belt looks fine
That's like asking if you should change your oil and not the filter because it's still doing it's job.
Stop being a retard a timing belt kit is like 85$ you need to replace that water pump too

Since you've got it apart the marginal cost of fitting a new belt is negligible. Just change it.
If you can't keep up with the high cost ofor matinence of a bmw then you shouldn't own one. Besides you already have it taken off just change it
op here,
the thing is, my waterpump cracked so i had to change it, whilist doing it i had to take off the timing belt too.
This engine blows blue and has no power in it and i'm going to swap it to newer e36 engine thats why i'm considering this nigger tier decision

Just replace it, dummy. An E30 timing belt is only like $15.
