Train your eyes to not at obstacles but at the path to get around them. In emergency situations people tend to hit the one thing they should not have hit because of a thing call targeting(I domt remember the complete term). They want to miss that tree so badly they keep looking at the tree instead of searching for a way around said tree. But because they are focusing on the tree so much they hit it.
