Are aftermarket bigger throttle bodies snake oil for na setups?

I have a 2009 Mustang GT. Only mods I've done is can tune, jlt 110mm cai, steeda underdrive pulleys, JBA longubtes, JBA catted h pipe and flowmaster outlaw axle backs.

Only if your TB is not flowing the required air for your setup.
Some cars come with slightly constricting TB's at high RPM, some don't, etc.

They aren't snake oil, but the stock 3v TB is a decent sized one. You probably wouldn't gain much at all per dollar spent. I vote cams, nitrous, or both, and get the TB.

this. you flow numbers or you need a dyno / someone else dyno results only way to know.

I agree with him. Cams first and then get the frpp intake and TB.

Gears, converter (if AT), then engine stuff.

This. It all depends on your setup.

If your car has restrictive intake manifolds, a bigger throttle body isn't going to do anything.

THIS as well.

I got ford racing cams, BBK longtubes, straight BBK catless xpipe, and borla stinger cat(less)back. After doing those I then did the hot air intake, throttle body, and manifold. That's when those showed their potential. The car is a bit loud though.

Nice setup man, has it been to the dyno yet? I'm guessing over 340whp?

Is that without the artificial engine sound?
