i would probably go with the d21. I love my Toyota but hardbodys are cheaper and theres probably more aftermarket for the KA24 over the 22RE. (im assuming because 240sx)

I used to DD a '97 Hardbody.
It was slow, had no power, got shit mileage, and was a pain in the ass to work on for anyone with normal sized hands.
That said, I still miss the damn thing, and the Tahoe driver that murdered it can go to hell.
