Which would be better? They're around the same price, and the Mustang outperforms the Lexus.

Mustang on the track, probably RCF in a daily situation.
One is a special hype trim Mustang, the other is a sophisticated vehicle meant to last more than 3 years. Take your pick. Brochure racers will defend this.

>track monster vs pigfat gt car
The choice should be obvious
>>15189728
Which one is the pigfat GT car?
>>15189690
I'd rather have the Lexus as an only car.

The one that Clarkson hinted couldn't turn.

I take the Lexus because it's a grand tourer, build quality it's much better than the mustang, it's more comfortable and reliable.
I don't go to the track every day.

Clarkson's an idiot. The RC-F, while not as good as the M4, is still a fantastic car.

It's funny because after that, he praised the sedan version of the RCF

i would take this beast of a thing any day over those hunks of shit

Sedans versions usually have stiffer chassis than coupe versions.
The M3 for example actually tackles corners better than the M4 despite the slightly higher centre of gravity.

To be fair though, the GS isn't really the sedan version of the RC. The GS chassis was designed for the GS, whereas the RC chassis is a Frankenstein combination of the GS, IS, and IS convertible chassises. That's why it's so heavy even though it's a coupe.
The Mustang probably produces more raw power, but after owning a Lexus I'm extremely biased towards their comfort and reliability. Even the cheapest Lexus feels like driving on a cloud. Keep the fluids topped off and be generous with oil changes and tune ups, and you have a car that will last forever, be faster than 99% of other cars on the road, AND you have the comfy factor.
Only downside is that wrenching a Lexus diy style can be a nightmare due to cramped engine bays. Even changing sparkplugs is kind of a bitch.

Enough shit talking; go test the RC-F on the track first. . . if you can even drive.
