it's not. i was in tokyo recently, hardly saw any cool cars. there was an R32 i saw off in the distance and also pic related but that was about it. you can see much more interesting cars here in london on a daily basis and for all the muricans who go "hurr all yuropoors drive shitboxes", it's worse in tokyo.

if you own an old fuel inefficient sports car in a city with high traffic you quickly realize that it's pointless to drive it around as a daily. I live in a city with a mediocre of as fuck train system, and I use it to get around when its convenient rather than drive my sports car. If I lived in Tokyo I would probably have the thing garaged 100% of the time unless im going out to a meet, track day, hooning, or cruising with the squad trying to look cool. Only because the subway system is so fucking vast, and its so dense that a lot more shit would be in walking distance.
If I had to guess, the guys with 20 litres / 100km tuned FDs and shit aren't commuting to work with them.
