Holy shit this thing is a beast
It's huge, fast, and reliable
It's not any rice rocket, but it has a decent get-up-and-go
And let's not forget that, considering every other year of this brand/model is an unreliable steaming pile of shit, this thing really stands out amongst its brethren.

The Taurus is more fun to drive but the Lacrosse is top tier comfy. Honestly the only cars I've been in that are cozier are an S-Class, new E-300 and Lexus LS, and those are notably more expenisve.
I honestly feel like if you want a performance sedan at an equitable price, a used Infiniti M56 or BMW 550i make for better contenders than the Taurus SHO, but the SHO is still pretty awesome considering you can get it new for close to what the other two would be used at decent mileage.
I wish they would hurry up and give the new Taurus a US release. They're offering it with the 2.7 twin turbo in it's non-sport trim in China. I'm assuming that if it makes it stateside with a SHO trim it's going to get the new 400hp 3.0 twin turbo they're throwing into the Continental. That would be fucking awesome.

The new Lacrosse looks pretty awesome itself. They benched it against the A8 when they were doing NVH tests. It's getting torque vectoring AWD and it's expected to get the twin turbo from the upcoming OPC Insignia/Regal too.
