took me until 6th grade before i learned that the usa wasn't #1 at something. i think it was a test score.
it was a weird experience, and it was weird that i even had that experience. i think rural elementary schools purposefully indoctrinate the youth to think that america is the greatest country in the history of civilization and can do no wrong. that would explain a lot of things about americans, anyways.
