Not sure if this kind of thing should get its own thread but I need your guys help.

Also once the whining stops, driving it it knocks really loud the more the rpms rise.

By the sound of the starter you have a vulcan 3.0, you should be able to look at the valve cover on top facing the front and see "OHV" on it. You serpentine belt is on the left side of the engine, some of it is tucked down a little. Look and see if anything is fucked, as >>15150800 said.

Oh shit, that's a duratec, I was wrong about the sound. Look at the pulleys, if any seem misaligned or off center from the shaft they're attached to that's likely the problem.

Start the engine and spray some water on the belt, if the noise changes replace the belt/belts. Looks like some glazing on the edge of the belt to me.
