What is the American Dream in car form?
The kind of thing that if you are working class, and put in the effort you get as a reward. A working class symbol of making it, or success.
My first thought was corvette but that seems cliche.
Something RHD that was imported and highly impractical. I'll probably end up buying 2-3 toyota centuries; one as a DD the other(s) for parts

I've had some of them talk down to me because I was interested in getting an Rx7 and/or an MR2. There's no WRX wagons near me (if that is even a thing), and a BMW or a Merc would either be too expensive to buy or too expensive to keep running.

These three cars exemplify America in more ways than most realize. Like the American itself, it's bloodline has been fraught with missteps, failures and set backs.
