Replaced the fork seals on the DRZ yesterday. Surprised at how quick and easy it was. Once I did the first and knew what I was doing the second one only took around 15 or 20 minutes. Did a couple whoolies to make sure they're totally sealed up and it was a success. Can't ride anymore today cause of severe thunder storms :(

I have this autistic sci-fi nerd idea for a motorcycle for a dystopian future. Basically, it's a off-road Goldwing, with big fat tractor tires, a sedan-sized trunk, an inline 4 diesel around 2000cc like a European car and instead of plastic faring it's steel plate. Also the fairing extends beyond the front wheel and it has a brush guard like a jeep. Maybe spikes on it. The idea is that it's 1-track tractor for towing artillery pieces through the woods or rubbled cities but able to cruise and conduct raids. So it's like a Jeep but more narrow. it's meant to outlast the conscripts riding it, hence the armor plate.
I'm trying to force it to be practical in the setting but I have a hard time imaging a person just man-handing the bars and flicking through the twisties. So maybe power-steering? A gyroscope? What is the practical upper limit for the weight and size of a motorcycle? Clearly baby-boomer accountants have no problems with a real-life goldwing, but....
Any other factors that make such a large, heavy motorcycle impractical?
