So I have a 95 Mazda b2300, I plan to go on a road trip that will be around 3,500 miles. I take great care of it changing all sorts of parts and all fluids regularly. It's a 2.3 I4 Ford engine with around 90,000 miles maybe. What I want to know is do you guys think it will make it? Potentially through snow too, I have brand new wrangler radials on it and the front is 2 inches higher.

Get a real thing or forever hold your piece (that Ford)

Care to explain?

You'll be fine. 2.3's go a long time. Understressed. The old turbo engines would go 200k easy with 15psi boost. A newer NA version can do that easy. Usually the heads cracking is the only major issue. But its not common

The dash cluster is shit, common problem. My oil temp doesn't read right, my E brake and engine light don't work (who knows what others don't), my trip and total odometers don't work. And my speedometer gets stuck sometimes.

Ah, well if everything sounds alright and you just did the oil you should be fine. I'd probably change the timing belt before you go, just to be safe.

>cruising down highway
>truck blows a hose and begins coolant dump
>check engine light doesnt work, coolant gauge doesnt work gets stuck

Are you really seriously asking this right now?
Come on now....
Ranger = Mazda B series just like a tribute is an escape....

Ummmm, do you have 4WD? Do you have a rear locker and weight on the rear wheels? Do you have an LSD?
If the answer is "no" to all of the above you're going to have a bad time in snow.
You'll have no weight on the rear wheels(small reg cab i4) and its an open dif. literally the worst combo for snow.
I would never drive my regular cab 2001 ranger 3.0 in the snow considering that it looses traction easily and thats with new discoverer A/T3s....
The only way id even attempt is with 500 lbs in the back and by going slowly.

Seconded. You're not going to cover a single inch of that trip with anything resembling haste, but you will arrive at your destination with a solid vehicle.

I plan to take my time, going from the southeast united States to Canada and back
