From what I've read, the Mustang (This is the previous gen mustang with the performance package, mind) handles about as well, but more importantly has much better brake feel. The Nissan's brakes fade a lot.
That being said, that's something fixable with even rudimentary mechanical skill and money to buy aftermarket brakes.

it was an old road so unlike a race track or any road commissioned in the last 50 years it has large changes in altitude and rapid changes in slope
also it has crests and changers in camber and surface that you will not encounter on a modern road
in short its irrelevant to most any highway motor way or interstate that one might encounter
where as Tsukuba is a tiny go cart track with some flat but technical corners
a lot of cars has been tested there but it tends to favour small cars (much like the top gear test track)
it might be useful to compare cars against each other but only in the sense of what I would consider low speed maneuver and short bursts of acceleration
the driving there is more akin to the city or some back road
