What is /o/'s opinion on the 97' Jeep Cherokee? Would it be a good SHTF vehicle?
I'm planning on buying a used one and revamping it into a happening car. Including paint, engine, interior and tires.

It's a good car, I love them, but I would suggest you read up more on SHTF type stuff. Like another anon said, your riced out jeep isn't going to do anything for you.
If you want to rice it out for off roading, going camping, or other fun stuff, that's different and you'll probably have a great time.
