1. What's the best game on PS4 to help you learn to race?
2. Why do you guys think Gran Turismo is 'simcade trash'? I always thought Gran Turismo was supposed to be pretty realistic and that Polyphony strapped sensors and shit to all the cars to get the driving dynamics correct.
I'm getting my first high HP car and I want to practice a bit online and probably even take an advanced driving course or racing course.

3. Has Project Cars improved? I tried Project Cars shortly after it's launch and I could never get rid of terrible input lag and horrible understeer with the controller. I had thought of getting a wheel and pedals, but I figured the game was fucked. I don't hear anyone talk about this specific game, so I assumed it was a bit of a failure with the gaming community. Please advise.
The people that make Gran Turismo are bus riders and have nearly no idea how cars are supposed to feel. They watch footage of racing and try to make their game duplicate the behavior they see.

In all honesty OP, you need seat time in a real car. Simulators are no replacement for that. Good on you for wanting to get good.

GTA taught me that it is my own responsibility to be driving the car I want. I can make the choice.
To be honest, any game can teach you how to race if you know what's possible and what's not. While I enjoyed DriveClub, all the cars feel like they're driving on ice, so I wouldn't recommend it.
PS4 has pretty limited options for sim racers, actually.
