is this a good deal? basically want a daily car that will last me a few years and is fun to drive.

Maybe, but even then, early NCs are basically the worst miata there are. Look for literally any miata but a 2006-2008.

They're not shit, the share the same chassis with an RX-8 (which is an excellent chassis). They're just the heaviest, and everyone loves to parrot memes without any thought behind it
