>Tesla just made a very smart move: it hired Peter Hochholdinger to oversee production of its vehicles.
>Hochholdinger came from Audi, where he spent his entire career doing nothing but building Audis.
>At Business Insider, we've tested many vehicles that he bolted together, and no other luxury car maker assembles a more consistent product.
>There are several reasons why Audi is the shining star in the VW Group, and Hochholdinger has been responsible for one of them.
I was starting to think new Audi's are getting more expensive but if the crew is breaking up, what else is destined to suffer? I don't know if I want to buy a Tesla now, so I might need to find something else that caters to me.
>tesla
>future of cars
kek
wait till vw group/honda/toyota/etc starts actually investing time and money into electric cars. bye tesla.
>>15065285
Wait til Google blows everyone the fuck out with their automated cuck pods.
>>15065289
google has the automation, [big name car manufacture] has the production infrastructure and budget. tesla left out to dry without either, ride that stock wave while u can bros.
Apple is almost not even relevant anymore, have you seen what they've been making since jobs died? Absolutely disgusting just like their stock value lately. Apple won't exist by the time batteries improve at this rate.
>>15065285
>Volkswagen
getting epicly btfo by regulators everywhere, they aren't going to be dominating in anything for a while
>honda/toyota
focusing on hydrogen fuel cells, which they think has a much better chance long-term than battery electric vehicles do
>etc
BMW, Chevrolet and Nissan are Tesla's more immediate threats. Out of those, BMW is much better positioned as they have an electric car division that they're pumping money into now that Tesla has become a larger force. Chevrolet has the Volt and Bolt, and Nissan has their LEAF, none of which are going to make for serious competition to Tesla's upmarket-focused vehicles.

>thinks jobs saved apple
No, They just don't have someone to steal ideas anymore.
>>15065267
They better not have that recessed door handle bullshit on the production 3.
Plebs are gonna be buying this car. make it simple for the masses.
>>15065518
They aren't targeting up model sales. They are barely even targeting low end electrics. Teslas market share and infrastructure are so incredibly low compared to someone like BMW.
If BMW wanted they could blow tesla the fuck out starting tomorrow, but electric cars are still a niche, no point.

Just use the smartphone app to tell it to open its doors.
