Depends how dark. I'm about to get 35% light reduction tint on all my windows. I can still easily see out at night and on dark unlit roads, but it has 100% UV protection and certainly helps keep the leather from being baked by the sun.

I can also see how it depends on where you live. If I lived in the UK where it was cloudy 340 days of the year, I probably wouldn't give a shit about tint. I live in Arizona though, and I get hot, bright days almost year around, so I need sufficient tint so my leather isn't baked and my car isn't at nuclear temperatures when I get in after it sits in the sun for an hour.

My biggest problem with tint, particularly the blackout style, is that it ruins the visual relationship of body and greenhouse making the car appear bulkier.
