Have you ever witnessed an accident?
Was it big, small, or anywhere in between?
I saw some idiot Ford Galaxy roll into an old Toyota 4x4 while in heavy traffic earlier on today, with no damage to either vehicle.
I saw someone crack their bumper on a low barrier by reversing into it, but that was ages ago.

I was driving into New York City when I saw a fat black woman in New Jersey veer off the road and smash the front of her red shitbox into a tree. I have also seen countless accidents of people sliding on black ice into the ditch here in Ohio.
Saw a drunk bitch annihilate a street light last summer. Wasn't quite like in GTA.

Family car got rear ended (on an uphill stop lel) when I was a wee lad. Was pretty shocking, but no one was hurt and I probably just have an exaggerated memory of the event. Car may or may not have been written off, I can't remember.
Also some years ago a snow storm hit us on a highway and we saw some mad man in a BMW spin out a few hundred yards in front of us after blasting by. Had front and rear end damage from hitting the center divider repeatedly, but he looked well and alive so we kept going. Minutes later he blasted by again and ended up five cars ahead at our exit.

I saw a pickup with a trailer get rear ended by an SUV while he was taking a left through a 4 way intersection. I think pickup guy had to slow down before completing the turn because something was going on in the lane he was turning into. I was surprised that no police were called, all they seemed to do is talk for a minute, then SUV guy picked up his bumper and they both drove away. It was in the bad side of town so I'm guessing one or both of them didn't have valid licenses.
I remember seeing a dodge caravan at a residential 4 way get t boned by a cement truck. The van side was destroyed. The truck didn't even have a scratched bumper

Which is kinda ironic considering I, among other veichles, drive a front loader with a 13 cubic meter shovel. That machine is like 4 meters tall and I never break stuff with it (unlike other collegues)

Seen a few accidents.
Some dumbass kids killed themselves right outside my house. They were riding a stolen bike and kicking the wing mirrors off cars, one of them booted a car door, sending the bike the other way into a speed camera. Guy on pilion smacked his head.on the speed camera and then the kerb, died instantly because his brain was no longer inside his head.
Dunno what happened to the driver but the ambulance lot bought him back to life three times, so if he somehow lived I doubt he wants to be alive anymore.
The other accident happened a few weeks back, some old geezer in a brand new SLK or something crashes it into a pedestrian crossing going for an overtake, rolled the thing onto its roof. He lived that I think.

1: In the back of my mom's Audi 80 back in the 90's, stopped at a ped crossing when it got rear ended by some chav cunts doing about 30 after skidding ~25m. Hit hard enough to wedge the rear doors shut and give us all some serious whiplash. Was a lovely car too.
2: Rear ended a month ago in my e39, stop start traffic, guy behind me thought I was driving off instead of moving up a couple of feet, hit me about 5mph. Some nasty damage to the front of his mint e36, just a scratch on my rear bumper.
3: Last Christmas in my e39, driving some lovely country roads in Yorkshire, cunt farmer john comes blazing round a blind bend on my side and I had nowhere to go but the ditch, took half my bumper.
4: Just before #3 in my e39, skidding that shit around a corner and got a bit too throttle-happy, didn't countersteer enough and hit a railing. Cracked my bumper and pulled number plate off which now resides on my dash :^)

1: Bloke walked out into traffic without looking and got nailed by a car doing ~20, flipped him up and about 20 feet through the air. All his shopping including shitloads of flour and eggs all over the road

(Explanation: my house is right outside a long blind left turn and is the first house in that particular village so cars normally come fast as hell and either get scarred that they are suddenly entering an urban area or simply lose control. Crashes happen at least 2/3 times a year)

Result: Part of the brick wall was thrown clear across the patio and crushed my dad's Qashqai. Was a total loss but thanks to an insurance mistake they got it fixed. Chunk was so big it took me and my father 10min to drag it out of our house. My neighbor 3 houses down the road found a Clio windscreen wiper in his garden. Nigger didn't even have an insurance. He's fucked for life and I don't even care, wish he died actually.
When I was around 11 years old I remember vividly witnessing a crush. I was chillin' at a gas station in buttfuck nowhere California farmland. While me mum was in the mart grabbin some slimjims, I saw this toyoat pickup giving it the beans down this straight ass road with a steep ditch on the side. The wheels on the right side twitched off the road and onto the edge of the ditch and the fucker pulled a wizard barrel roll, completely jumping the ditch and kept rolling in the farm field a couple revolutions. Driver broke everything, I don't know if they lived.

Apparently was a neighbor of mine coming home late from work. When the cars went off the road he was hit from behind and flew over a fence and got caught in the tree's branches. Not even the drivers noticed. Every time I look at that tree I remember what I saw.
This was the event that taught me what people really are. Thanks to a couple of dumb-asses and for no good fucking reason a family lost their husband and father just like that. Still pisses me off.

Don't think I've witnessed many but been in a few.
1. My moms 90's maxima, she fell asleep due to drugs/drunk or something, with my brother in the front and me in the back I think I was maybe 6ish, brother sees it coming, jumps out before she rear-ends a parked car one block from the house.
2. My dads 93 or 95 mustang gt, going to breakfast, sitting in the back playing pokemon red, when were going through an intersection and I hear screeching, van slams into us at at least 30+mph, head smashes roll bar and breaks speaker out of panel, car 180's into a curb. Grab my gameboy and my game that flew out from the impact and go to the hospital, concussion and blood clot in my neck, dad broke 4 ribs, my brother was completely fine. The van ran a red light and didn't even looked damaged that much.
3. Racing my friend home while he's on his bicycle, give him 30 second head start. Peel out and start racing up hill, corners coming to fast just passed my friend, cant stop, using every brake I have hoping it will stop. Nope. slam into curb at 20mph sheer A arm and smash rim, try to reverse can't because the axle is broken off. old guy comes outside since it was in front of his house and just looks and goes back in. Everyone from the neighbor hood knows Im retarded now.
4. Freeway early morning on way to LA, dense fog, shitty landscape truck with lights that don't look lit up, he's on his brakes. Everyone else is moving, think he's moving too since his lights are dim as fuck, realize he isn't too late. FUCK FUCK hope no ones in the lane next to me barely move in time to save the rest of the car, flatbed tears apart my fender, some pillar, and barely misses my windshield, no insurance claim since all that broke was his shitty light.
4. Taking my dog to be put down, feeling shitty, shelter is in a fucked up town where everyone sucks at driving. Get off freeway and notice im in wrong lane, so I wait for all the cars to pass and it's clear, start to move over. Hear a loud pop.

I was minding my own business, when after a blind corner I come out and see some car that got fucking creamed by another, both in the ditch on either side of the road. There were already people that had stopped, or I would have, but you could tell it was fresh, there was debris all over the road.

I was driving Southbound on Interstate 84 in CT, when some stupid fuck flew by me ( I was doing 85, slowing down for the bend at the top of the hill between Exit 22 and 21.) I thought nothing of it until not even 30 seconds later I see the tire smoke. The stupid fuck in his 99 Maxima went around a bend at most likely 105 mph, spun out, and slammed into the Jersey Barrier. I didn't even stop, I called the cops right as I drove by the wreck.
The next day I heard it was a fatality.

Didn't understand why any of that happened back then, just glad it didn't fuck me up. Some of those kids must've had to have a ton of therapy, I know a good handful stopped coming to camp, one of the group leaders left too.

Another situation in my city was a 20 year old girl was killed when a semi rear ended her at a stop light because he was speeding in bad fog. The car was completely trashed and you could see the fire was starting to reach the front window. The car was a red Dodge Caliber.
The driver and passenger was both unconscious. The fire quickly got worse and it became to hot to try and rescue them. I watched to dudes burn to death in front of my eyes while drinking a beer.

I deal with a lot of MVAs due to my work, but this was one of the worst I've seen first hand.
The tractor was sitting on the side parked, and I'm about 20-30ft behind the nignog driving the Cadillac, this guy starts in left lane (two lane exit ramp) and begins drifting heavily while speeding up. I flash my his at him incase he's drifting to sleep, and flash my overhead beacons to alert the traffic behind me.
At the top of the ramp this fucker oversteers at 60mph+ into the tractor, rear of the cadi hops about 5/6ft into the air.
He lived, broken wrist and concussion no airbag deployed on his side.
Another one while at work, I must mention that there was little to no ice on the roads here this winter.

Had a Nissan Rogue rear end my 95 F-150 with a tow-hitch and ball on the back. Dented/scratched up my bumper just a tad bit. Ball and hitch went through the AC Condendser, Radiatior, Transmission cooler, and pushed the engine block off the engine mounts and into the firewall.
It's 9pm, just drove 500 miles from NY. All I want is some fucking Zaxby's, so I pull into the center double yellow lane waiting for a lull in traffic to turn. I notice a sizable gap and proceed with the left turn. Little did I know there was a Nissan Juke with his lights off driving on the Blvd. He hits me square in the passenger side and spins out. I was able to exit the exit the intersection and park in the first space in the lot after the intersection. I got out to see if they were alright because their SUV was fucked up. They ended up uninjured but their car was totaled, fluids everywhere and front end impacted all the way. mine was able to drive the rest of the way from SC to Florida without even as much as a pull on the wheel or a check engine light. Was sitting at a light waiting to head straight through an intersection by my house. There was this Mazda 3 sitting in the turning lane looking to turn onto the road where I was.
Across from her turning onto the other road was a city bus. Now for some reason, this one corner is impossible to see what's oncoming if there's an SUV or some other large vehicle in the other turning lane.

The Mazda was knocked all the way over the median, back onto the road where the car rolled all the way onto the sidewalk where it stopped. I got out ran across the street to check if the girl in the Mazda was alright. She suffered some nasty head trauma and was bleeding from her scalp. The windshield was blown up, couldn't see into it. The driver-side door and passenger doors were wedged shut from the impact and rolls. She did live though.

I was driving towards the beach in eastern Maryland, about 10 at night, and watched a corolla ahead of me go off the road at full highway speed, no brake lights, and plow right over a speed limit sign. Then it started to veer into the ditch, but first it hit the berm protecting a small road, probably still going 30 at this point.

For the record I've been driving for over 20 years and I've never witnessed a fatal accident other than seeing a girl getting loaded into an ambulance who was a jane doe for a while since she had no ID but it turned out to be a girl I knew who later died from intra-cranial bleeding. She'd been crossing the street against the signal wearing headphones.
The most memorable crash I personally saw was on a fairly icy day this car up ahead of us was coming a little too fast into turning down a side street and I even pointed it out to my wife "That lady's going to miss that turn" so we were both watching. I just expected her to bounce over the curb and maybe get stuck in somebody's snowy lawn but no. Somehow she perfectly lined her passenger tire up with the street sign, knocked it just halfway down and drove up it like a ramp. Must have been mashing the gas to have done it. That car flipped right over onto its driver's side. I pulled over and ran back to check, got there about the same time as some other guy. We were yelling to her to shut the car off but she was in there, on her side, trying to steer and accelerate out of the situation and none of us were about to climb up on the side of a running car to try to fish her out when the thing could flip back over either way and she wasn't listening to reason. She was an older probably Mexican lady. The car probably could have driven away if it had been dragged away from the sign and pushed over onto its wheels but what ended up happening was that a fireman busted out the rear window and climbed in with her, covered her in a blanket and held her while his partner sawzalled the roof off then by the time the flatbed got there he just winched the thing roughly up and away.

A cargo truck blew a tire on the highway doing 75mph (the speed limit) right in front of me. The driver lost control and veered off the road into a field. Fortunately it came to a stop halfway through the field before reaching the oncoming lane. They were also lucky it happened when it did, because there was a bend coming up with a hill straight ahead. They probably would have ramped off it and into the into the oncoming lane.

Living in LA, I've seen plenty. I've been in a couple too (rather minor, not at fault).
A funny one was when I was on my bike going for some exercise. I hit the crosswalk to cross the street. Light goes read for cross traffic, and I'm about to get going when I see a car coming up real fast to the light. It's some lady in some POS old sedan. She clearly didn't see the red light and slammed on her brakes at the last second. It sent the car stopped at the light in front of her half way into the intersection. I just watched it all unfold. I couldn't help but laugh. No one appeared to be hurt.
Many years ago the family decided to go on a vacation trip. We were driving down the highway when all of a sudden an old truck appeared to just have turned his steering wheel and plowed across 5 lanes of freeway traffic. There was a center concrete barrier, so he slammed up against that and started to just fling right back across the highway. He hit a couple cars and spun out.
I have to imagine the guy was having a health problem or something. I couldn't figure anything mechanically wrong with a car that would cause you do swerve across all lanes of traffic suddenly, and then all the way back.

Ive been rear ended by an old man. It was at a light on a somewhat rural highway. He hit me somwhere between 50 to 60 mph (limit was 55). He was dead when i got out to check on him. Still not sure if he fell asleep and died in the crash or if he died and then hit me. Authorities didnt know either. My neck is still messed up from it. The cab of his truck was damn near in my backseat.

I saw a Hummer perpendicularly nudge the rear quarter of a mini van. That fucking thing rolled over. All the occupants were safe but it was something out of a movie.
Saw a small fender bender in a parking lot. Also never directly witnessed but there have been many crashes in the intersection outside my house. Helped many people (calling cops, keeping them calm, providing water, etc). I also helped catch a drunk hit and run driver, hit a cavalier pretty damn hard, I still see that fucked up cavalier with mismatched panels driving around.
